  • I still LOVE this video. :o) Just sent it to one of my coworkers who is doing tie dye with her (daycare) class tomorrow!

  • @KingsDominionGeek Thanks! :)

  • That video was so much fun! - you guys make me laugh! I'm doin some tie dye with my little (6 year old) sister today! Very nice! I'm notoriously messy when I'm doing tie dye (I literally get it everywhere...feet...legs...arms...ect haha) so the "dont take your gloves off" was incredibly funny. I've completely been there!

  • Wanna Wanna do oneee

  • Very sweet kids :)

  • how do you do the ones at 3:16

  • how do u dry them

  • @supercrazyskater123 in the dryer, nice and simple

  • @majestia19 will the color go evry where if after i tie die it and dnt wash just put it in the drier

  • how many colors does the kit usually comewith?

  • @leslie1234luvyou Depends on the kit. Most that I've seen come with 3 (but you can always put colors on top of each other to make other colors)

  • That was so cute!!!

  • Those look awesome!

  • Just did some tie dyeing yesterday... and I took my gloves off... oops! =)

I like the green screen :P

  • The gloves just get so annoying. I think it might be time for us to do some more tie dyeing. :)

  • why don't take your gloves off? hard to wash off your hands?

  • yeah, the dye stains pretty well.

  • Great video...So Funy !!!!

  • THOSE FUCKING SUCK

  • we used wal-mart bags to wrap up (re-use!)

Also before flipping shirts WIPE underneath or you will have messes..I found out!! :-)

  • Very Cool! I just completed a bunch of baby onesies for my unborn granddaughter,,,,, then went on to make No Sew Tutus to match! Also seen on you tube! THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME VIDEO!

"Dont take off your gloves" :)

  • You are very welcome, glad you enjoyed. I want to make tie dye onsies. Great idea!

  • what type of dye do you use?

  • i bought that same die from joann fabrics. does anyone know how to get a swirly (sprial) pattern???

  • My daughter and I just did one of these kits but we didn't rinse them first and just washed them! All of the colors ran they look ok but my 7 year old daughter said, "these aren't really pretty!" but we had a great time! Your daughters are beautiful! I didn't wear any gloves-guess I'm an idiot father!

  • Thank you. I'm glad you guys had fun, we did too. We weren't very good at remembering to wear our gloves. :)

  • wow!! good job great video :-)

  • your video is very cool. its great. looks like you're a cool Mom. Props to You. Oh btw- I have tie dyed for years and I too forget to wear my gloves. I think its cool the way you put in the "reminders". Comment to beefyangus 612---I am a hippie & I don't use much if any plastic other than reusable plastic bottles for dye. I want to save & protect the earth. I use newspaper. Check my video reply...Newspaper is recycleable even with dye on it. Peace & Love-Don G Rainbowman -ShadesofColor69

  • it´s a very cool video, congratulations!!!! I will do the same thing....

  • woah this is pathetic that people need to talk crap to a cool mother that actually spends to try time with her children, so what if she takes off her gloves its HER hands that are icky for 5 hours oh no!!

and shes trying to save you from making the same mistake that her family made,

and obisouly she made this video AFTER the fact that her hands are covered in dye

  • what was the shop called that you bought the pack from?

    i need one :D

  • i did this and found the exact kits at hobby lobby but you can find them all over the place and online!

  • great video, great kids, nice job. my kids are in their late 20`s and we still do things like this together. tie dye, attend fireworks, outdoor concerts like john hiatt. so this time is well spent. keep it up

  • i love tie dying shirts. Practicly the only shirts i wear are hand tie dyed...but whats ironic is tie dye represents hippies and hippies wnated to save and protect earth...and to make a tie die shirt you have to use so much water and plastic wrap. lol i jsut find that ironic. oh and to the "idiot" mother who took off your gloves...i guess im an idiot to casue when ever i amke a shirt, i always take off my gloves wihtout thinking. so your not the only idiot. lol. rock on

  • haha, lol. Thanks for the great comment. Those gloves are just so pesky and hard to work in. :)

  • Sorry missed that, she's got them on but don't look like the other have on, hence why they have dye all over their hands!!

  • This is a how-to video. We are advising people in a cute and funny way to keep their gloves on unlike us. Notice that every time the screen says don't take off your gloves one of us does. If you have any other comments for the "idiot" mother, let me know because that's me that you are referring to. Let me know when you post a video, I'll be sure to leave a comment

  • aww thats so fun. cant wait to do that wen i have kids.

    your a fab mommy

    :P

  • You want to see the ultimate in tie dye?? Type in "tie dye bug" and enjoy!!

  • This was a really cute video. Looks like your kids had a blast!

  • Can everyone please remember that these are CHILDREN making these shirts. Everyone should applaud them for making such wonderful pieces of wearable art. Children don't care about technique or what dyes are brighter. They just want to have fun and that's what they were doing.

  • thanks for reminding everyone and they did have a blast. :) They love watching the video too.

  • Wear a mask to mix dye and soda ash it is a carcinogen and can ruin your health. I bet it was fun cleaning up those kids LOL! Let it wear off bleach is poison stuff.

  • Idiot.

  • Hahahahaha

  • your moms an idiot!

  • Hahaha, like I care xD

  • your moms an idiot jerk!!!!

  • look she did her best and she had fun wow 2min she was spending time with the kids tie dying is a great way to bond with kids its not only for the shirts it also for the memories too so please be nice

  • Fuck that Fat Fuck!!!!

  • I take it you're an expert, It worked well for us and the colors are still holding. Do you have any other suggestions?

  • i consider myself an expert! that kit costs so much for so little- its insane! you can buy the dye packets and put it in any bottle- its really a rip off. you should try simply spray. i switched to all spray dye after i started using it (my videos are from their website..i plan on adding my own prjects soon)

  • thanks for a cool instruction. and thanks VERY much for identifying the cool song. too many vids leave viewers scratchin about song titles.

  • You are very welcome. :) I love this song.

  • Also, let the shirts soak for (I prefer) 14 hours to get richer deeper colors.

  • Thanks for the tip. I guess my late start in the day was good.

  • aw... I'm 16 years old and I have a blast dying and perfecting my tie dye, but i feel silly seeing little kids do it too :(

  • Don't feel silly, tie dyeing is awesome. I'm just getting them started young. Ours sat overnight and the colors are holding great. I'll make sure we do that everytime. No fading or anything. This was my first tie dye project since middle school I think.

  • i made a tie dye

  • Still think this is your best work though....

  • aww, cute kids! cool video, lady.

  • Thanks, glad you like it. :) I love comments!!

  • I still think "Dyeing" looks rong.

  • Thank you :)
