  • One of the most under rated singers of all time. A class song from a class girl.

  • Shes been around nearly as long as lulu...and Elkie Brooks...check out a balck and white film of her in a film with teh small faces in 1965

  • Kiki is sheer class, and should have been a much bigger 'star' if she had been better managed and more picky over the material she was given. Every bit as talented and soulful as today's Adele but a lot better looking. Here's what she can really do with one of her own songs.

  • This is the first song that I ever recorded on video in 1981.

  • I've never seen Kiki miming.

  • @sirtinycreep Apart from on Top of The Pops.

  • @rich975 She sang Amoureuse live on TOTP. And it was perfect.

  • @sirtinycreep She did mime when performing 'Star' on TOTP. The performance is here on Youtube.

  • Fab song - reminds me of Bob Says Opportunity Knocks!

  • this was when she was a guest on the one off showaddywaddy show :)

  • You show me someone who can do this live and I'll believe in you SIMON COWELL!

  • think this was the theme music to NEW FACES talent tv show

  • @Littlealan1959 im not sure but i think the show was "bob says opportunity knocks"

  • @spinout3 You are correct, definitely not New Faces!

  • i remember this being on bob monkhouse opertunity knocks. Great song and under ratted artist

  • what a great song

  • I love this song!!

  • Brilliant to see someone singing live and doing it so well, you don't get performers like her anymore.

  • o the memories !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow she actually sings live! no autotune!!!

  • Kiki Dee resembles the brunette from ABBA.

  • She is the best!

  • What a fun entertainer to watch and hear!

  • early 1981 i think

  • very...very good song and beautiful singer.....I like it

  • evpman - or anybody out there who's a Kiki fan - could you PLEASE PLEASE put on Kiki's song "Perfect Timing" from around the time of "Star" (I think both songs came from the same album, also called "Perfect Timing, if I'm not mistaken).

I would so LOVE to hear it again. Thanks.

  • Under-rated, and loved by so many...seen live, AMAZING...Happy New Year, Kiki...x

  • Who's the arsehole presenting the great Kiki Dee?

  • This was from a show that Showaddywaddy used to do.

  • If you like Kiki, try Judy Tzuke,Stay with me til dawn.

  • This song is AMAZING. I NEVER heard of her until I watched her and Elton John's youtube video "Don't go breaking my heart." I just had to see what else Kiki Dee sings and I'm NOT disappointed. :)

  • Kalmanizer, you want to listen to Amoureuse, & Loving & Free. Wonderful songs! Wonderful singer!

  • @kalmanizer

I remember from hearing her on British Forces Broadcasting back in the day when we were stationed in Germany. I dug up her 1981 album in 1990. There were some other truly great songs on it. Including another, even more beautiful duet with Elton ("Loving you is sweeter that ever") I swear, you'd think that ol' Reg was straight when you hear him singing with her...

  • @kalmanizer

Don't forget she was a 35 year-old grizzled veteran by this time. to see her as an innocent girl punch up "small town" from "Dateline Diamonds". Reading the lyrics, she must have had some experience with real-life gangsters like those in the movie.

  • that too, but also a great singer

  • Nice blow job lips

  • well spotted!

  • Thanking you
