  • funniest ending to any movie I've ever seen

  • Nicolas, is so hot in this movie.

  • This is a really good movie!

  • COOL FACT: When Nicolas Cage (first known as Nicolas Coppola) first shows up in the film to meet Matthew's character, he's was wearing an bandage on his face & talkin in the scene as if he had an jaw injury...Well that day before he came to set he actually pulled out one of his wisdom tooth his self, so the swollen you see & the pain you can see in him as he talks is real lol NO PAIN NO GAME!

  • WoE PG yet one of the creepiest things i've seen on here, my brain is bird blown

  • what in hell is this old clanker doing in here?????????????? Matthew Modine has all the sex appeal of Susan Boyle -- only minus the talent

  • what in hell is this old clanker doing in here??????????????

  • Man I loved this movie

  • " Plucked and Fucked"

  • loooove this film, down to the very last frame, one of my favorite wtf endings in movie history, 87's Orphans is another great performance piece for Matthew Modine

  • This is actually one of my favorite movies. I watched it one day, finding it purely by accident. It has one of the best endings I ever saw in a movie. I absolutely love it. Always, Bill

  • Nicolas: "No Birdy!! Birdy don't!!"

    Matt: "What?"

    Hahaha... Great show. =]]

  • funny the prom music "Donna " by R. Valens..circa 1958-59... then Viet Nam returning disabled era was 1965-69 so did these guys live in the jungle for over 10 years in country?

Prom music should have been Frankie Valey , Beach Boys & Beatles... not shoo BOP of the 50's ... bad disconect and ruins the flow of the flashbacks-

in what could have been a better film if more attention was put on keeping to historic accuracy

  • @rentatrip1, did you ever think that they often play old songs at proms? So, if their prom was in the mid to late 60's, and they played late '50's songs at it. It doesn't ruin the flow of anything.

They play lots of '70's and '80's songs at proms nowadays.

  • @rentatrip1 I think they changed the film to Vietnam to try and have it be more fresh in people's minds (didn't the film come out in the 80s)?

The book takes place during the end of WWII instead.

So that probably influenced some decisions although they were inconsistent.

  • @Grando181 - yes in some ways like "FNDANGO" opening scene the lads off on a venture across Texas before they enlist in Army to fight in Viet Nam - soundtrack for this is Saturday Night Alright for Fightin' by Elton John- Song was released "AFTER" Viet Nam war ended - ? - But the director thought the "song" was cool ? ...but very inconsistent ....

  • be advised the looney admin soldier at 54:54 is a certified nut case - patients running the asylum ! get the net !

  • lol i like the end

  • Left me speechless...I thought I was about to see an early version of Thelma and Louise at the end....So did Al end up going crazy thinking Birdy talked?

  • interesting

  • Im sorry but this movie was very strange.

  • 1984 wow that all i can say

  • this is tight yo

  • Thanks guys - we appreciate the feedback!
