  • It was a great day today...The child molester Warren Jeffs is found guilty of two counts of sexual assault on a child...How's that for one of your prophet's...

  • The gov was on a roll...Not only did he authorize the murder and coverup of the children, women and men of the Baker-Fancher wagon train in 1857, the very next year, the he authorized the taking up of arms agains the US gov...Not only was he a false prophet but his book he followed was and still is false...Alma 7:10 states Jesus was born in Jerusalem...Luke 2:4-7 states Jesus was born in Bethlehem...Not a hard one to figure out there...

  • @1kinnyg...I agree 1kinnyg. The gov took up arms against the US Army because he was guilty of killing all those Arkansas children, their mama's, their daddy's, their brothers, and their sisters. He tried to hide it all but the truth always comes out. He didn't want to be exposed as the false prophet he really was. Numbers 32:23 says "and be sure your sin will find you out".

  • @1kinnyg

Thanks for posting that, about the grand jury having been convened, in 1859, to look into Brig Young's role, in it. What's ODD about it is that Mormns of Brig's day, ALL hedged themselves around that mormon dictator & collectively refused to testify, at all: thus hindering the investigation.

In the end, without any material witnesses to come forward, the grand-jury investigation died.

(Shortly after that, Bill Hickman confessed--in his book--to being Brigham's "Destroying Angel").

  • @orlovna2...The German's also hedged themselves around Hitler...Absolute power, absolutely corrupts...

  • To all the poor sap brainwashed Mormons who think that Breed'm Young wasn't an autocrat capable of directing such an action, just read The J.O.D. (Journal of Discourses), which is the same type of thing as a church-approved compilation of "inspired talks", just as though one were compiling several years of The Ensign, into each singular volume.

The J.O.D. is a good look, into the mind of B.Y.

  • Most awesome movie...I'm glad it was produced to tell the truth about how the governor and former Methodist ordered the murder of 37 children...

  • arkansas, you are just hashing out crap to get some attention. I guess some would actually believe you nonsense, I pity them.

  • Not only did gov young give the direct order to excute the 37 children, he was a pedophile...

  • @arkansasresident where is your proof? Do not hash out heresay unless you have proof. But since you have no proof, how can I believe you to be credible?

  • @SakarianOutcast.. In 1858, U.S. Army Major James Henry Carleton conducted investigations. Carleton's report to the U.S. Congress blamed both local and senior church leaders for the massacre. A FEDERAL judge brought into the territory, Judge John Cradlebaugh, in March 1859 convened a grand jury in Provo. Cradlebaugh publicly charged Brigham Young as an instigator to the massacre and therefore an "accessory before the fact"...So the bottom line is, Gov Young murdered 37 children...

  • Brigham never gave the order for these people to be massacred and as a historic fact instructed the saints to leave these folk alone. You guys are absolutely cluelles and except for a few facts which you highlight pretty much have it completely wrong..

  • You guys are like sheep, this is a hollywood movie and not based on the thruth. do your research and you will see it was nothing like this movie tries to make it seem. It is frankly a distortion of facts and it failed at the box office. Sweet justice.

  • Gov Young was a pedophile...At 42 he married a little 15 yr old girl...At 43 he married a 16 year old girl and then turned right around and married a 17 year old...Then that wasn't enough, so at 44 he married another 16 year old girl and then at 45 he married another 16 year old...My questions to you is, would you let your 15 year old daughter marry a 42 year old man...Talk about sick...Look at what happened to Jaycee Lee Dugard....Gov Young reminds me of Phillip Craig Garrido...

  • The Mountain Meadow Massacre is a controversial topic. It is still unclear exactly what happened. This movie makes a lot of assumptions and shouldn't be taken as total fact. BTW i'm not Mormon. I have no reason to be biased in their favor.

  • @vampyregirl100

Forensic evidence shows many things, in their true light! For one, the travelers were stripped of their means of self-protection. For another, only very young children (a handful, aged 5 and under) were spared: so there would be no eye-witnesses (or so they thought!)

For another, the skeletons (skulls) show a trusting bunch of mainly women and children walking TOWARDS their captors when they were shot in the face! (forensic evidence shows holes in the FRONT of the head).

  • Ok let me tell you, im Mormon. This is like the poligamy deal. There are people who call themseles Mormon but practice poligamy. LDS on the other hand are Mormons but dont do Poligamy. See you have to look into it deeply. If you know nothing about us please dont be so rude.

  • @lolizaprox lol.lol..Your just a fucken joke and living as blind as a mormon does! I was a mormon for 30 years and lived blind like you and all mormons do without even known it. But as time goes by and many things just wont add up ..Than one day you mite look into it much more deeply and see the fucken Lies joe smith and brigham young have done...

  • @lolizaprox

You are quite young, too! You have never read "The History of the Church". I have the whole 7-volume (plus index volume) of the paperback edition, from the 1970s. I read it all the way through, enthusiastically, back then. (I was an adult with a family, back then).

The publisher footnoted that Joseph Smith only had the revelation on polygamy "recorded", on July 12, 1843: as opposed to this revelation having been "received", on that date. (viz., D&C 132).

    MORE TO FOLLOW...

  • isnt this the movie that which been declared as the "worste historical movie ever"? =)

  • @enesdeape Yes, in typical propaganda fashion Rotten Tomatos gave it a 0%. Be honest a moment NO MOVIE is THAT bad. It was also rated R preventing it from being shown to younger people who could learn something about cultic behavior and human deceit and treachery from it. There was NO profanity, nudity, or sex. Ostensibly the R was for violence. We history IS violent. As to the WORST?

It was a historical drama. Real people and events had fictional people interwoven. It was well done actually.

  • @Blogrich55

Was this the movie where Jon Voight played the role of Brigham Young? Voight did a really good job, with it!

    MORMONS! DO YOU DUTY!

Oddly, after reading the history of MMM, many years ago, I could never really respect (Apostle) Elder David B. Haight, after that. (After all, his own grandfather was never punished--I mean executed--for being one of the senior officers in the church's militia to give the orders: the man's name was Isaac O. Haight.)

A church with a militia! ODD!

  • @orlovna2 is it really that odd to see a church that has a militia? The catholic church for a thousand years or more had its own standing army, compiled of thousands upon thousands of men. There were militias formed to protect against indian attacks. It is truly unfortunate that these men did what they have done, but it does NOT represent the church as a whole.

  • This movie is evil, many lies are in it, the directors of movies wnt money, meney, even sometimes, they argue on ""true""happenings, but it is up to you believe this stories.

  • @llellaaa Show us the lies! I have studied and read about the tragedy and disgusting shame of the Mormons known as the Mountain Meadow Massacre for a while now. The Mormons themselves admit it. People like you are in denial. I wish they would do a follow up movie about the heart wrenching story of the Sweedish hand-cart pushers who Briggy invited. Then when they all perished on the way he self righteously denounced them as presumptuous. Hmmm? More lies? More fiction or just plain TRUTH??

  • @Blogrich55 Yes many lies are in this movie, and I do not mean it has not happended, but The Church never knew about it until it was happened, I mean this group of "mormons" just did it for them selves, and the movie is suggesting all the Mormons were involved, IT IS JUST A LIE.

  • @llellaaa Spoken like a true and blind believer. Your denials do NOT match historical facts. I suppose you think Joe Smith was a helpless martyr when he died too? Do you deny he went out with pistols blazing?

  • @Blogrich55

Joe Smith couldn't have been a religious martyr, either! He was killed as a cumulative result of his sophisticated lies and deceptions! He even had the "freedom of the press" suppressed, through destroying a printing press, in Nauvoo. Governor Ford, of Illinois, was in the process of proceedings that would have tried Smith, for treason, on those grounds!!

P.S: The Nauvoo Charter gave the city so much power that it functioned like a "city-state". (see History of the Church)

  • @llellaaa

One of the "commanders" responsible for ordering the rest of them was Isaac O Haight: the grandfather of David B. Haight (the late Mormon Apostle).

Was Isaac Haight brought to justice? Were ANY of those who gave the command to kill ever punished? NO. None except the one who called himself the "scapegoat" for the rest of them: for those who went unpunished.

Where was BLOOD ATONEMENT when you really needed it, I wonder?

Briggy-Pig, had his own adopted son executed, for it all

  • @Blogrich55

YES. You are right. The Swedes were part of a "handcart company".

Brigham offered to provide the poorly-made handcarts (at a handsome profit, for himself, the Mormon Pro$it). Then, when those handcarts broke down, at the worst possible time, in their trek, there was no one sent, to rescue them: they died a miserable death.

Brighum Piggum was an extremely callous turd who "needed" to be BLOOD ATONED, for his own crimes! And, he was! (viz., poisoned to death by a family member).

  • Comment removed

  • @llellaaa Yes. many lies are in this movie, and I do not mean it never happened, but how it was, it is totally different, the group of assesins called "mormons" just did it for themselves and The Church never was involved in this massacre.

  • Mormons killed because they got tired of being fucked with.

  • There you go, mass ritual murder of little children, babies and women because someone else "Fucked with them". Yet that's abut it, This carefully crafted murder against a people who did nothing was because Mormons were offended at what happened elsewhere. These people did nothing.

  • If you were a clear thinking person than you'd realize that who probably did this was some angry morman landowners remembered their families killed and houses burned before their eyes and wanted some blind revenge or were just plain scared, and without the knowlege of the church. Funny when a morman gets in trouble they immediatly attack the whole church. But on 9-11 they say that these are only Muslim "extremests"

  • I'll be happy to discuss the issue with you, Step up to the plate. Where do you have reference for angry landowners?

  • Ok, where are your references, there's absolutely no evidence Brigham Young was involved.I was using rational thinking, scared and angry settlers who's families were butchered trying to defend their rights(though uninformed) unlike you who's saying it was a huge Mormon conspiracy, you don't recognize that they're families were murdered and driven away time and time again by settlers and governernors. They had an extermination order on them! And what do you have against mormons?

  • @Fasty63 way to go! mormons are good people, and i agree with you! god, my best friends are mormons!

  • Briggy controlled the mail. He controlled everything. Including Geo. A Smith, another perp deserving death for his set up of these innocent people. Geo. wouldn't shit w/o Briggy's ok. He was sent by B.Y. to set up murder. For Gain. This was carefully planned. JD Lee and others tell us. Rather cynical to brand the cattle with a Cross, the "Church Brand". No? And kidnap little children, keep them, tell the Gov't Indians did/have it all. Bill the GOv't for the upkeep of the Children? Christian??

  • @Fasty63

WTF? Landowners who were scared? Absolutely not! The fact that treachery was used, to get the emigrants to hand over their weapons (i.e., on first being assured of their personal safety), was a sure indication of the MURDEROUS ACTS that followed! (For, the whole lot of them, now being unarmed, were systematically murdered, through an orchestrated command of those members of the mormon militia who were there: and they obediently followed orders!

    MORMONS: DO YOUR DUTY!)

  • @orlovna2 why is it that so many people believe that this horrible event was planned out by the church? It was planned out by men who had distorted themselves and had lost their faith. The LDS church does not and has never taught revenge to be good.

  • @IExposeMormonism what the fuck? some of my best friends are mormons, and there is nothing in fuck wrong with them! if you actually tried doing some actual research, you would find that mormons have been persecuted just about everywhere, and they were scared that they'd be scared away again! the cedar city leaders may have been nasty, murderous people, but that says nothing about the rest of damn mormon religion!

  • @booklovr18 You're good friends are not the issue. What the Mormon Hierarchy has done and does is an issue. The MMM is an issue. Mormons brought hardship to everyone they moved in near the area. Sidney Rigdon issued an extermination order before Boggs did. John D Lee and others tell us the Morrmons were "Consecrating the wealth of the gentiles to the Lord". AKA, stealing blind everyone that wasn't Mormon. The Deep structure of Mormonism is Polygamous and polytheistic.

  • @IExposeMormonism but this was not something planned out by the mormon church. It was a man who was deranged and whose brain had finally snapped. To say that the entire church was okay with this is ludicrous.

  • @SakarianOutcast Dame, Haight, Higbee, Lee, were all players in this carefully planned mass murder. As were Klingensmith, McFarland, Stewart, all credited with mass murder. In fact all 55 Mormons known to be at MMM were under the Mormon Endowment oaths. You know, "To avenge the death of the prophets". It was Geo A Smith who preceded the train and spewed lies right to JD Lee who tells us the lies. Further, Mormons kidnapped 17 kids and blamed All of it on Indians and billed the US for the kids

  • @IExposeMormonism but that does not represent the church, nor its teaching. There is no such thing as the "Mormon Endowments Oath". This was a group of deranged men, not people who were doing god's work. If there was such a thing as the "MEO", it was not church sanctioned. It was a bunch of men who took the law into their own hands against a group of people who had done nothing. These were not men who were representing the church. The LDS church never condones this kind of violence.

  • mormonism = venomous cult that could be in the long run, more dangerous to us than islam.

the mormons have never once apologized for the atrocities committed in this bloody meadow.......but justice will find the perpetrators.......in the next life.

  • Get a life you and actually learn what you are arguing about

  • those things are not true. mormons can do those things to others. this is just a propaganda of the anti........

  • Im a mormon and i did not encounter those teachings. That is the problem with you guys, You know things that i didn't know, Even though your not a mormon!

  • This is not true... The one who made this movie is not a mormon. Who do he think he is? The one who killed the women and the children are the mobs..... This is all fiction.....

  • ...the mormon church will continue to lie, conceal and deny its true history but science and history are slowly removing the veil and exposing not just this massacre but the forgery of the book of abraham, the immorality of their founding prophet, joseph smith by ealy church members (Nauvoo Expositor) and the blatant distortion of old testament verses and narrative by brigham young to justify immorality (polygamy) and racism against blacks...

  • It was an American Tragedy. Wish it never happened. But we can't change the past. Just learn from it. That hatred, is not the way to go. For anyone. Anyone!

  • Good thing all you Anti's are't on a jury. America goes by "innocent, until proven guilty". The movie didn't go by 100% facts. Just by other's as they seen it. You convicted a whole religion because of a movie made in Hollywood. Do you believe in Jason, and Freddie Cougar too?

  • freddy crouger isn't based on true events, you fucking imbecile

  • The movie was a colossal DUD. No one likes to watch fiction that is masquerading as a documentary.

  • this is entirely non fiction

  • brigham young is a liar...fukn coward.

  • ha you guys should check the facts before you take what the movie is as doctrine. read history on brigham young before u say he is evil, cos if you actually knew what you were going on about you would probably have a very different tone

  • yea brigham young was a fucking lunatic

  • ..Sanbryant...viewers need not believe you OR me lest you think my comments are just "anti-mormon rhetoric" because i challenge the truth claims of the mormon church...they can go to this site: REAL MORMON HISTORY and read in PLAIN english what brigham young really said and taught...the quotes are verifiable in ANY library or book-store...see what no true beiever in Christ can justify being in a church who considers brigham young a "prophet" of God...

  • Brigham Young was one of the most evil men I've ever read about in history.

  • these people are sick fucks. the indians fought like warriors and the mormons were cowards traitors and liars

  • great movie!!

    brigham young was evil!

  • The TRUTH be told

  • we arentbad people mormans arent bad the people were just mental

  • If this was group of baptists, methodists, lutherans, or pentacostals that committed these acts, i bet that the world would not indicate the faith in which they belong to.

  • The Official position of the LDS is one of defense, excuse after excuse after excuse. Excuses for Joe and his Sex drive, Excuses for Brigham Young Racism, Excuses for the Many false prophecy Joe & Brigham Young said and wrote, Excuse for the 1857 Mountain Meadows Massacre, Excuses for Archaeological Evidence and DNA Evidence, Excuses for the many bright and most faithful Leaders that have turned on your Church, and on & on & on. Blind faith is your friend

  • true that, young brother

  • The truth is coming forth and so is justice!

  • You should read the book by Steven E. Farley on the Mormon Mountain Meadows Massacre. He answers a lot of questions in his book.

  • Mitt Romney should use that as his slogan!

  • Thank God! It's the Mormons! lol

  • whats wrong with mormans huh
