We assumed Brad would be cutting through the woods a lot and better off NOT carrying a longboard with him on his way. You certainly can skate UP hill, but 8 miles up hill is a little much : )

The Apex 37 would be a better board for you. It's more proportional to your height and it will be more fun if you travel to areas with varied terrain.
