This is one of the best live performances of Viva La Vida. The lighting of the show is particularly good, and changes with the song. The sing-along part is simply awesome. The level of passion is unmatched in all of concert history.

Good question, If you watch closely on all their videos you see Jonny Buckland playing the chords on the piano, And the melody played over the chords is pre-recorded

Yes, the strings are pre-recorded because they use a special violinist for the track, I forget his name.

At the very end, the band lipsinks the "oooww, ooww" ending. It sounds like a recording from the 1920s or something.

When Chris walks out onto the platform amongst the audience, there is a pure electric energy that comes over Chris and the audience. When Chris is dancing in those few seconds he seems to be completely enraptured by the love and excitement of the moment, with his adoring fans singing his song. I don't remember seeing anything like this before: pure bliss between Chris and his audience in those moments. Note the devoted people in the front with raised hands. I must see him next time he comes!
