I'm not sure why you need that disclaimer. It kind of speaks to how ridiculous people get. He was an actor, which means his creepy character wasn't him. That he could play it so well speaks to his talent, not the quality of his character. It's unfortunate that its necessary.
I can say from experience that when you really admire someone, you get a little tired of hearing him -- the actor -- described as "creepy," "whining," "bug-eyed," etc., which Lorre repeatedly is. I'm only thinking of how overly sensitive I used to be to this kind of thing, and wanted to restate my great admiration for him, even if this video is about a character and not the actor.
This is such an affectionate tribute for Peter! I'm sure he'd love it and get a big belly laugh out of it. "Mad Love" fits so well with this song and I love the end with the Stranger and "Pig".
So glad you didn't have to write a mad comment! I know what you mean, though; "creep" is often a dirty word to me when mentioned alongside Mr. Lorre. (Poor Dr. Gogol, however, brought it on himself...bless him!)
Isn't he, though? When I watch this movie I'm always torn between hugging Yvonne in sympathy and whacking her upside the head for turning down those EYES. :D I'm glad you liked my video!
I know! I have the movie and it's because of that blasted women that I can hardly watch it. I mean....how can she resist those puppy dog eyes? It brakes my heart. He's so cute and loving and inoccent...Honestly, I just wanna get in that tv and bash her head against the wall and shoot her! UGG!
A fun video, nicely edited. Loved the conclusion from Stranger on the Third Floor..."Are you afraid of me?" "I'm not," she gasps in the midst of being strangled. Only in Hollywood!
Frances was my cousin. He creeped her out.

This is great. Peter Lorre, perfect. He was one of my favourites as a kid, him and Vincent Price.
