I saw him in manila oct2007, he sang this after his karaoke stunts and it was the first time I heard it so I thought it was another silly song...but *sigh* its so beautiful. And I was like "what's that song?" Thanks for sharing. This is lovely.

In the fan's edition of the album, Josh has said he wrote this for his own family. He was thinking of how fleeting time is, when he was home over Christmas and watching them all and loving them, knowing he would be going on tour really soon. He wrote AWAKE for them and dedicated it to them, but on the tour, he dedicates it to the troops who are away from home, serving in the military which I think is just great! Qetesh97
