Very funny stuff, guys! But you missed the best part of Mickey's speech. It wasn't just his dogs he thanked, it was his DEAD dogs, the ones no longer with us that were there for him, blah, blah. Thanking the dead dogs, Mickey getting the finger, and the "Slumdog Millionaire" guy saying "f**k" on live TV at the end, those are my warm memories of the night. Love you guys, even if one of ya's a damn Yankees fan :-P My little Blue Jays heart forgives ya for that trespass.

Rourke is the only part i caught.I was stunned that Hollywood would vote for him.He was the best actor of 80's with Barfly,Angel Heart,and Diner,POGV etc. the Wrestler was alright but he was as good or better in Sin City than Ledger was in Batman yet he didn't get a sniff for that flick so who the hell knows why people get nominated for anything.

slumdog was good for like the first hour, comparble to the movie city of god in its gritty realism, then it turned into typical mainstream movie writing without any real surprises or moments of interest for me, i don't want it to win best picture but im sure it'll win screenplay... oh and btw, game shows aren't televised live, plot hole #1 of many =/

I didn't watch the whole show, but I caught the part where Mickey Rourke won. What an ovation he received. He's an awesome actor. Diner is one of my favorite films. He was also good in Barfly. Great to see he's making a comeback.
