Like a rolling stone - eine fast zeitlose Legende - tempus fugit - aber so ein Text + dann noch von Bob Dylan - da kann man/frau die Widerwärtigkeiten des Lebens schon mal kurz vergessen.
This song reminds me of my best moments of high school. I remember when I got up and prepared my notebooks to leave very early, catch the bus and head to class. Big Dylan ..
Finally The Original Song ShitFuckCockSuckersBlowjobers i hate all of the other people who make others videos saying "Bob Dylan Like a rolling stone "
When I first heard this song back in 1966 I was mesmerised. The sound textures seemed to swirl around me as if they were more than music; like a kind of magic. It seemed to fulfill totally what my musical dream world had been searching for. Many other songs do this for me to some extent, but none as completetly as this one.As I have travelled much in my life, living in several countries I feel almost as if this song is a part of me and with Wild Mountain Thyme will be played at my funeral.LOVE&PEACE
@TheHornyHomunculus They just want to belong man, they just want to belong. Cut them slack, at least they've got taste, even if they still ain't got class.
I'm 13. American, originally Arab. My dad listens to Arabic music or chart music. My mom is the same. My sisters listen to Top 40/chart music (which I hate). I am the only boy of 6 children (two are half-sisters). I love Bob Dylan. I LOVE HIM. I have all his songs, some t-shirts, and some memorabilia. I don't want to show this off or anything, I just wanted to tell someone. Also, I'm so sorry for all the harm my generation has caused you :)
Right after we graduated from high school in 1965, a buddy and I took off for Southern California. Just 2 kids from Butte Montana blaring music from the 8 track in my '63 Cutlass convertible: Like a Rolling Stone, I Got You Babe, Satisfaction, California Girls. We saved for 3 years for that trip. Saw 3 Beattles concerts and the Byrds just before they hit it big. I lost my lifelong friend 5 years ago but this brings him and that summer back; thanks for posting.
Ok, don't get me wrong, but it's sorta hard for me to believe that they chose this as the best song of all time.
Well it may be just be me, but I feel such hard emotions while listening to Stairway to Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody, Imagine... I swear I almost cry everytime I listen to those. And they are not even close to this position. It sucks.
@mariiguana Its all open to debate of course. Those 2 songs you mentioned are worthy of standing alongside this masterpiece but for me this just tops the lot because its a wonderfully in depth story that just highlights everything Dylan possessed ( unrivaled songwriting ability, fantastic song structure and above all those wonderful lyrics that really make the song, I mean that chorus: How does it feel? Its just brilliant.
Recuerdas que solías burlarte de todos, pero ahora no luces tan orgullosa cuando tienes que mendigar para tu próxima comida, que se siente Estar sola? It's sad seeing Bob nowadays collapsing under the weight of his own name and the pens that have brought myths to it. Yes Douglashall, you are truly blessed to see these beautiful songs unfold in their aliveness, teeming with their sparkling, mad energy. Here I am, as I sit in front of a digital screen wrapping away at some digital cess pool of opinion, watching every word evaporate into chaotic meanininglessness. I do not know your'e perspective, but I envy it greatly. How does it feel?!!!!?!?!
When I was 7 years old, my grandpa put this song on the stereo, I asked him "Who is him", he respond me "The great Bob Dylan". Since then I loved this song. Btw, I am 14 years old.
Circa 1965 i'm sat in a cafe drinking Pepsi, eating chips......Beatles ,Stones and the Hollies are the groups of the day. I am 13 years old and a guy dressed in leather comes in every day from Monday to Friday and plays this. Monday.... i have no interest.
Wednesday i think....superb
Friday , i am looking for the the guy that introduced me to Dylan.
13 years old....Like a Rolling Stone....Unbelievable.
I may have been just a kid of seven but I totally loved this song and Bob Dylan's sound. I think Bob Dylan's sound was the template for many artists in the 60's and early 70's. Thank you GimmeBackMyBullets75.
I'm 64 years old today(15th November 2011) and I still think it's brilliant that I first heard stuff like this on juke boxes when it first came out, or on pirate radio, rather than on "Gold" stations! Where music's concerned - I consider myself to be from the truly blessed generation.
@DouglasHall1947 I'd have to agree with you 100% my friend, you are. Everything was nothing but pure quality back than, unlike now adays. I will be 51 on Nov 27 a bit younger but we both had the best generation is soooo right.
The day you will be disappointed once again by the person you preferred to me, I'll make you listen to this song until your ears bleed and your head implodes. I hope Bob Dylan will make you understand better than I was able to do.
