@TheBrotherOfGrimm actually, many variations of fairy tales exist around the world. That's why I think a lot of people like them is because while the circumstances are different, they all have the same message and anyone can relate to them.

The water of life is mentioned in Revelation 22: 1-6

Then the angel showed me the River of Life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God to the great streets of the city. On each side of the river was the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. :)

I say you're never too old for a good fairytale. Fairytales aren't all cute kid stuff like some people might think. Some of them are actually quite graphic and nasty at times.

And they're sometimes funny too, which of course all ages can enjoy. Some I recommend are re-tellings of classics: Hoodwinked is an alteration of Little Red Riding Hood (in this one the wolf is a goodguy!), and then there are the Happily N'ever After films (the first is an alteration of Cinderella and the second is an alteration of Snow White). There's also Jim Henson's Unstable Fables: Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Three Pigs and a Baby, and Tortoise vs Hare.
