My cat came to me crying on Wednesday evening, he was fine one second and the next he was in pain with an apparent limp to one of his back legs. I called the vet and was there within 20 minutes after the onset. By this time he had lost all movement in his legs. The vet acted very quickly pumping him full of drugs and we had to wait 24hrs to see if they worked. Unfortunately they didn't and he had to be put to sleep yesterday. Absolutely devastated - despite acting fast it wasn't quick enough
The video doesn't emphasize that the cat must be taken to the vet immediately, as this is extremely painful for cats. My cat cried like I never heard her cry before. Do not be afraid of the vet bill -- they will take it in without asking you to pay first, because this is an emergency (my cat had two emergencies, one was the passed clot).
My cat just died this morning and I think this is what was wrong with him. His meowing woke me up this morning and I found him in my bathroom floor. He couldn't move his hind legs and he was meowing so loud. I tried taking him to the vet but he was having trouble breathing and then all of a sudden he made a gagging sound and then died before we were even half a mile away from the house. I'm sad and shocked. He was one year and three months old.
OMG. 25 days?? Mine was 8 years old, russian blue, male. He was a healthy cat, chubby, and then he started throwing up alot. 2months later, he got very sick, couldnt walk upstairs, lay down the whole day and meowed alot. =(

@wingedsweetheart OMG! That cat of yours will always be in your heart. What caused your cat to die? Think of the good times that you had with him.

@mermaidamp He had HCM and got a saddle thrombus which made him go into cardiac arrest from all the pain and stress.

Sometimes, I wish my kitty was calm like the cat in the video.
I have the most skittery kitty I've ever seen.
She's really pretty though, and she loves lying on her cat nip pad.
She also likes chasing her cat dancer with the feather on it.
