  • This is awesome! I'm teaching a youth scrapbooking class and the girls (all girls) struggle with journaling. This technique is a great way to launch them. I'm intrigued by the foam pad idea too. I'm gonna go buy one and see if it helps my stamps look deeper. Love the little angel cameo, too! ;-)

  • I really like this idea for custom made journal spots. I have one question... when you say you use a foam pad, do you mean the fun foam? Thanks for the inspiration... Donna

  • @grimmydl Hi Donna,

Yes it is the fun foam that you can get from the children crafts section.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Rose, this is such a fantastic idea! You can make any journaling spot fit your project perfectly ~ whatever size, shape or look you want. Some of the examples you showed were just stunning & it's so easy to do as well! Wonderful job!

  • Great idea Rose, TFS :o) x

  • Beautiful Rose! I know what you mean. I've invested in so much ink to add some extra color to the journaling spots. lol The black and white gets kinda boring after awhile. heehee Quick tip. Glue dot the top of the plastic of your StazON to the inside of the top lid, so you don't have to keep putting that plastic lid back on. TFS!!!

  • OHH! thats clever! thanks for the tip. Your the best!

  • OMG!!! Those are beautiful!! What a great idea!!!!!!! TFS!

  • love your journaling spots, rose! so beautiful! how do you get the stazon off your stamps? i use the stazon cleaner, but mine seemed stained :(. i gotta get me one of those foam mats! what a great tip! thanks for sharing! your little one is so cute. much aloha~! steph :)

  • Hi Steph!

thank you. I just clean my stamp with baby wipes right after stamping, that way it will prevent staining. But Tim Holtz stamps just stains I dunno Y! no matter how much cleaning i do with them. so just a thought.
