Song is Take on me by Captain Jack. From what we found out when we had the 'team' meeting he didn't practice at all before this contest and was just playing video games. His 98 worlds routine was absolutely amazing at the time and is still to this day one of my favorite routines.

a lot of the time child prodigies like this have really sad lives, in that their parents force them to practice 24/7 and only see them for their talent and not as children who should just be able to have fun and be loved unconditionally. it doesn't surprise me that he'd give up yoyoing.
