I love the look of this book and note the experience of the Chef. Unfortunately, the recipes don't work - at least the ones I've tried. They are always short on fluids. I wish he's published all ingredients with specific flours - all purpuse is so variable. I'm lucky that I've studied this art so I can make adjustments.
Yes, this is a master. wonderful. all the greatest chefs retain a similar perpetual effervescence and enthusiasm for food. look at his son, Michel jnr., or Raymond Blanc, or Marco, or Gordon etc etc

Michel Roux Jr is his nephew who runs La Gavroche in London. This guys own son is Alain Roux who runs the Waterside Inn in Bray
