i had this thought when a person puts on makeup just WHO are they putting it FOR> It should be a persons artwork in how they want to look . NOT how others want to see them. @DurgaShanti I read your comment with interest my best friend wears her make up the same as she did years ago. Now that she is more mature it does not look good on her too much foundation and powder and she doesn't do anything about her eye brows and they are thin and light and like this video says that makes you look older and I agree. You may be a real beauty and do your make up wonderfully but to say let them look the other way makes me think there's a story here, has anyone ever said its bad

It's painful to see what some women do to their faces through invasive procedures, but it is just as painful and degrading to see other women attacking them like hornets in a 'holier-than-thou' tone. We have all make poor choices at one time or another in our lifetime ~ we just don't have to carry the price on our face which is punishment enough. i was a little shocked that she said use less make-up when she obviously didn't. but then i remembered you have to take into account what kind of lighting you are using. i think her make-up looks well done, but she probably could have used brighter lights when she filmed this vid. also, internet videos are weird. i did one once and didn't wear makeup and i looked like i had on foundation! i imagine i would have looked rather garrish if i had used it. good advise about the powder anyway.

I thought there was some useful info on this vid however, I don't agree with one shade darker on brows. If anything, I would say to go one shade lighter with a pencil and then lightly go over it witha coordinating shadow powder and an angeled brush.

Ok, why didn't the artist use her own face instead? She's obviously older than the model is. She's also not taking her own advice of "less is more" with her own makeup. I also don't think blush on the apples of the cheek looks good on any woman, particularly mature women. It pulls down the look of the cheekbones when we should be lifting things up. I'm not trying to sound harsh, but I think she's giving some bad advice a few times here.

This wasn't helpful...I was hoping to see a model in her 40s and how one would apply make up to wrinkling skin and not have it fall into the cracks! Also, who wants to pencil on fake looking eyebrows...that MAKES you look like that old, painted face Aunt we all know. [sorry to be so harsh]

This lady speaking is a perfect example of too much make up. She looks like she had TONS of plastic surgery ( brow lift, nose job silicone in lips etc) and yet she has heavy make up around her tiny eyes

and her nose has like dirt on it.. Very bad countour for a women in her 50's..
