Sometimes it doesn't matter about size. I have seen wolverines steal a kill from two or more wolves and look at a wolverine compared to a wolf. This doesn't really count, but a liger is 12feet long and they weight a 1,000 pounds. There was a liger that died in 2007 and he weighed 1,213 pounds. Ligers and tigers would be able to move quicker then a bear, but a bear would have more power. A grizzly has a bite force of about 1200 psi & a tiger has a bite force of around 1000 psi. You be the judge.

It's actually not.. Alaska is the home of the largest Brown Bears as well as bears in general.. Russia has the most Brown Bears but not the biggest. Don't get me wrong though, Russia has bears that are comparable in size with the largest Brown Bear subspecies in the world, the Kodiak Bear. The Kamchatka Brown Bear of Russia is indeed bigger on average than the Grizzly but is smaller on average than our(America) Kodiak.

If they were to ever fight I believe the grizzly would win because of the brute force and strength. Given a tiger is faster but it would have to be tactile with its attack because as soon as the grizzly gets a hold of it the tiger would be destroyed.

I don't know why anyone talks about if a tiger or grizzly would win. They would never see each other in the wild anyhow. A grizzly usually weighs around 1000-1500 pounds. A male Siberian tiger weighs around 847 pounds. Tigers have claws made for cutting flesh at 80-100mm where a grizzly's claws are made for all around use cutting, digging, climbing, etc that are around 4-6 inches long.

They do not try to challenge grown Brown Bears. Only cubs and small youngsters or females in hybernation. The largest Brown Bear ever documented killed by a Tiger was a youngster weighing 170 kg. He was killed in hybernation in winter.
