@Muraz72 Where did you read that?! Read Halo: The Fall of Reach book by Eric Nylund, that tells you how the spartans were trained. They didn't fight each other to the death...

One's that survived continued on with training, others died. I just don't think you're brain can understand, sorry.

@Muraz72 yeah they didnt fight each other to the death, they did hand to hand trainign and all but not fight to the death. it would be counter productive to kill off the small spartan candidate group. it was 75 spartans, supposed to be 150, and they all were alive/active until the augmentation surgery which made 42 either inactive due to muscle/brain problems or became mutilated and died. 33 survived to be the final Spartan IIs
