  • For some reason the sound of this thing at low speed had me laughing my arse off.

  • Recycle it and 10 carbon credits will added to your universal global account towards the purchase of a newer product.... have a nice day citizen.

  • I was curious and figured youd be able to answer my question. Ive been looking into purchasing a VFD fpr myself but I seem to find is the single to 3 phase. So I'm wondering can you hook just a single phase to it or would you have to use all 3 phases?

  • how many CFM is that compressor?

  • Semi-Hermetic compressors are the shit. You have compressor for years and years, plus you can replace almost everything on it.

Btw what happened to that comp? its sounds okay at regime rpm

  • @spiritlight9k these compressors really are great!, I dunno what happened to the unit, I imagine it was left in a building that was demolished and nobody thought to keep it intact and sell it

  • I want a VFD too....screw that I want a huge metal shed like yours !

  • Thats would be good for your vacuum forming machine! Also I like how it has really low noise.

  • Would make a nice vacuum pump maybe? :)

  • This is going in my favorites for auditory value

  • Quit that squeaking racket, you are making the cubicle farm denizens pop up and ask what that noise is.. XD

  • is it a pump or a musical instrument?

  • Sounds like some beatboxer :D

  • @shattenselajtz I was about to say that.

  • Do they make much pressure at all or do they just move coolant around? Doesnt seem to put out much air.

  • @romandybala its made for refrigeration, so it has to pump gas at high pressure and so many CFM for the system to work,. but as a air compressor, it works really well!

  • "i havent bothered with the thermal cutout or overload unit"

    Famous last words...

  • Thats a really nice compressor.

  • Ohh do i hear a new ring tone ???? :)

  • @CorbyStarletCj1 lol that would be cool :D, low speed compressor ring tone :D

  • good German ED ^^

    could learn you some words..

next VIDEO say GOOD DAY FOLKS in GERMAN:

    Guten Tag Zusammen

  • @BloKK187 I could do that :D

    Danke mien Freund!!

  • @Aussie50

    No Problem.

    all free

    My pleasure

  • sweet little Compressor ed

  • 1:00 sounds like craig1974!

  • @KrankieV2 its funny cause its true

  • @phantom3rdchannel we need to notify craig

  • @KrankieV2 TOO THE CRAIGAPHONE

  • @aussie50 thanks keep up the good video ay this is one of my favourite channels

  • what were you covering up with your thumb? was that the intake

is it putting out high pressure in that setup?

  • @wilkes982 the intake is the big copper tube with the king valve, the discharge is on the other side with oil coming out.

the 2 ports on the head are for pressure controls to attach to.

  • Sweet.

  • Sounds cool, Nice little Compressor!

  • sounds happy.

  • @V8Jagnut yeh its like new

  • What exactly does the king valve on those do? and I thought your vfd wasnt powerful enough for that compressor or was it another one?

  • @More350Power I couldn't run the 4cyl Bitzer comp with the VFD

the king valves allow you to do a number of things, Dr.Zarkloff did a good video explaining them

they are shutoffs for servicing, you can isolate the comp and recover the gas inside, or pump it all out to HP side, it while leaving the rest of the system charged, change the oil or valves for example, then evacuate and open the valves after. just top up whatever came out.

Old York car AC comps are the same.

  • @Aussie50 Thanks for letting me know, much appreciated! I wish I had one of those compressors.

  • @More350Power on a York car AC comp you can shut the suction valve, run the comp momentarily until the LP side goes into vacuum, then quickly shut the discharge valve. trapping the gas in the condenser and evaporator. any losses would be minimal when you disconnect.

but be sure to vac down the comp to remove any air out of the replacement or repaired compressor before opening again.

  • @Aussie50 I hear a lot about the york compressors. Never seen a york compressor system before. I hear a lot of people saying those and the gm a6 compressors are good for air pumps due to the fact they had their own oil sump.

  • is that the back wheel of an airplane in the background of the vid? it looks like one

  • record that sound, amplify the bass and then sell it to ricers all around the world.

  • @Metalcastr lmao yer they would like it :D

kinda like that V8 noise simulator that runs off the cars DC ripple current

  • Nice run man btw I could be geting 3 big 3hp or they may be 2hp 3 phase motors for free from my shop class they are geting rid of sanders and I will ask if I can unbolt the motors and take them.

  • @67tr876 sounds like a good score if they are throwing them out!, maybe get a complete intact sander and restore and sell it

  • @Aussie50 ya I should try that sounds good I will give you an update on if they let me have them and what I will do with them. If I get a hole sander am using for sure I do work in my basement shop a lot with wood so it would be a big help to have one.
