Guitarist Jacob Streefkerk and bassist Touché Eusebius were childhood friends at the island of Sint Maarten and played together in several bands before moving to the Netherlands. Both signed in at the Fontys Rockademie of Tilburg in 2001, where they met singer Roger Peterson from Aruba, they formed their own band Intwine in 2001, with fellow students Erwin Gielen (drums) and Kevin Hissink (guitar) from the Netherlands.... the dutch speak amazing english, but do they speak it as well as a native speaker? no, but they come closer than any non-native speakers I have ever heard. there is no reason to knock them.

quite a few americans speak dutch, most are LDS, for the record. in fact there are entire towns in ohio and the midwest that speak dutch(as well as english) due to their families still speaking it since their coming across the ocean.
