Could someone please please help me with this dam game. I'm stuck on the first level. I've done everything your supposed to a hundred times over, all i get is the summary screen with exit to menu or replay mission. No continue or anything. I've tried varying the mission by going for the targets in a different order, I've tried it with cheats, without cheats. Still nothing. I really would like to play this game but I never realized you had to have a degree in bloody quantum physics to continue.
Okay, I don't have a continue to next mission button for osme reason, and I don't get a debriefing... Why? I have the latest patch and all that jazz, but I still get no where.
Ah, i thought you were directing it towards the mechwarrior series. But yeah, they don't make games that really take any skill or have a learning curve anymore. Most of them are either point and shoot or press a button and twirl some toggles...
I just hated the Mobile Field Base concept. The ability to repair mid-mission felt like picking up a extra health in any FPS. To me it just doesn't feel like MechWarrior if you don't have to take on the Clanner assault mechs guarding the last objective with a machine that has lost half its weapons, limps and constantly overheats.
man, the computer voice from mechwarrior 2 is still far superior. why is it so hard to get another voice as good as or better (if possible?) than that one?
Crytec Engine? Are you talking about the 'Mech Warrior: Living Legends' mod for Crysis, or just wishing hopefully? Because if it's the latter, I suggest you search the shit out of that name right away. You may be pleasantly surprised. =)

@Zabpizzapow Since the game was created to run primarily on the 98 OS, you'll have to download the patch to get it to work properly. Mektek has a wide variety, depending on what OS you currently have installed.
just a thought but you can set it so the cockpit follows the mouse like in Mechwarrior 4, so the mouse stays centre screen an the cockpit follows the mouse
MW3 won't run properly on my xp machine. I have a dual core cpu and a geforce 8800 and in the first mission those little vehicles that attack you next to the first villiage are bouncing waaaay up in the sky. Then it randomly crashes.
Loved this game. This was a giant leap forward from MW2, graphics wise. I do remember it being buggy as hell, though. Couple of times when my mech would take a step off a 2 foot bridge, it'd explode.... I blame that on Microsoft, not Zipper.
@Griuqs cheats = unlimited ammo and invincibility ? if so ... then i know why i can't finish the first mission and get on with my campaign ... i'll try that right now :D

@midgard83 Maybe so, but you don't get the REAL feel of the game or experience if you go through every mission like that. Boring way to play and might as well have cheats on for the entire gameplay.
@tallandme13 That's what happened to me too. Go to the options, and disable invincibility, infinite ammo, and no heat, so that all the text is green. Not red.
It means you have cheats on. in options there should be things like Invulnerability, Heat on/off, unlimited ammo. You have to turn all those off. Except heat, heat has to be on.
Unfortunately though, I don't think I could do the same for MW2 since my disc broke a loooong time ago. I could try though if you know the specific sounds you want.

i have completed all objectives and have gone into the place with the other people, and also pressed control+Q but i just have to replay the level or get taken back to the main menu.
Err... I'm no tech guy and I've never had any problems running MW3 on any comp. But, like I always suggest when people come to me for help, is to go to the MW3 Community Project Forums and ask for help there. The guys there know a lot more than me and will probably be able to help you out.
A question for the ages... it seems the clanners have a ton of IS mechs in this game, which is quite disappointing. Apparently, "bring your best mech" must mean "bring that IS trashcan".
from my point of view the operations arent in order but the operation missions are in order but backwards to the way youtube would list thru them. maybe my compy just aint listing them right. Still an awesome came. Oh and I loved taking potshots at those villigers.
If there's a weapon in a location you destroy, you obviously can't salvage it, since it's destroyed right? But in MW3, torso mounted weapons are impossible to destroy. That's why I make all my mechs with torso mounted weapons only. So just try not to shoot off their arms.
Yeah, it tends to have issues working on anything above Windows 98. It even crashes on me and I have a real old version of Windows XP. Although, you should check out the Mechwarrior 3 Community Project forums, they have some compatibility fixes there and a good group of people.

Amazing game, i got one but the CD it's fucked up, i'll try to run it up again.

I got the clips from a MW3 sound extractor.
Unfortunately though, I don't think I could do the same for MW2 since my disc broke a loooong time ago. I could try though if you know the specific sounds you want.
