Believe me when I say that by no means do I condone this behaviour, but one thing needs to be understood here, soldiers are soldiers, not law enforcement, there job description is dealing violence with an equal or greater show of violence, "winning the firefight" if you will, unlike law enforcement which are specifically trained to de-escalate situations such as this.
unfortunately this is an example of plonking the wrong man in the wrong job.
