I love this truck. I have always been a chevy truck fan but you can drive this like I ride my quad. It lands and dosn't seem to bottom or at least not badly off huge jumps for a stock truck and moderate jumps for a race truck. love it wish I could afford one. I wonder what it would take to upgrade a non Raptor.

@SDRacing88 yeah, I guess that would be the obvious soulution for a Chevy guy. However, I think the r&d is lots better from a huge company like FORD than aftermarked suspension can offer. The sus kit on a chevy would prob out perform offroad but I'm sure it rides rougher etc. I think this is a sweet concept but not sure how much of a place in the mardet there is for a high dollar 4wd. the idea is cool thouhg.

@ztwntyn8 - there are a few companies. Brenthel Industries, Mazzula offroad, but they offer stout kits. kinda pricey though, but you get what u paid for. they may be too "soft" for the street!!! dont give up!! i cant post the link here, but look up mazzula black lightning or something like that.

@Dolmanation actyually, it's base price is about $39K and the 6.2 V-8 goes for $41K. all that under a factory warranty, and every nut and bolt on this truck is made to work with each other specifically for this purpose. a ram with this capability will probably end up being around 50 grand, and would not last nearly as long. heck, even a regular F-150 upgraded the same wouldn't.

My friends and I regularly go to the dunes on our quads though, all of my trucks are too heavy, they sink in sand. 1/4ton v8 and 3/4ton v10.

Well it depends where you live really. I know, that where i live we have alot of sand pits (came from the construction of roads) and dirt roads, and alot of MUD.

This truck would still be practical for this use because of its locking differential and suspension travel which would allow good articulation of the rear axle and front control arms.

You could do MUCH more than desert sand dunes with this truck with the proper tires. This thing is ready from the factory, which is what i like about it
