He wasn't stealing equipment. He just retired from the music biz probably because he had children and like zera said went into being an EMT and later onto construction. Blackie spoke highly of him saying he was one of the best musicians his worked with.
well jonny was caught stealing equipment from the band and was kicked nonetheless that existed as a rumour he stayed in the line up until 92 afterwards as far i ve read he started working as an ambulance drive or respirator or sth i dont remember well ... now he is working as a construction worker sad if u come to think that he used to play for thousands every night !

I know this guy, his daughter and I practically grew up together back in Pittsburgh, Pa and he is honestly a really sweet and down to earth person. Plus he has become a born again Christian, which is awesome in itself. He does live in Missouri, got remarried and I think he even had more kids. BUt all in all a really cool dude
