This clip and the song make me a little sad. At the time the movie was popular, I was employed in a position that required me to travel quite a lot. I was forced to see so many movies without my wife and children. Nothing is worse than seeing a choice movie--such as Foul Play--then returning to an empty hotel room. Calling home just made my loneliness worse. Those days are over, and my wife and I can enjoy or time together now, along with children,grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I was 11 years old when I first saw this movie in a theater that I walked to by myself. When the albino's face popped out in the library I almost crapped my pants. It was after 11pm when the movie let out and I was so scared walking home over 2 miles. This movie always brings back memories, strange ones though...

This is Conzelman Rd (at least it's supposed to be). From Sausalito take Bunker road through the tunnel under the mountain over to the Pacific side, and then drive south. It ends at the north end of the Golden Gate bridge, and takes probably about 15 minutes. I do this drive regularly, and it's exactly what it looks like. It's a very pretty and relaxing way to get from Sausalito to San Francisco.

Great Movie ! This scene was shot early in the am (sunrise) and obviously the road was closed off , its a breathtaking drive (California Hwy 1 ) but very dangerous ,as you can see from the aerial shots just how close to the outside edge the VW is traveling  ( stuntman was driving-exterior shots) .

A bit of trivia - Gloria's part was originally written for Farrah Fawcett (RIP) but she went on to something else , Goldie was superb -both her and Chevy ,and the

I always forget that this song comes from this movie -- it's BRILLIANT! Whenever anyone starts to rag on Mr. Manilow, I always remember this song, "Ships" and "Bandstand Boogie" as three reasons why I like his work. But it's not universal -- I'm neutral on "Copacabana" and I absolutely can't stand "Mandy". Go figure.
