Hi... Thanks for the video!! I have a question, I completed my scenes on 30 banks and i use the chase 1 for them... Now that I want to create more scenes for the next chase it's taking the place of my first scene. And I have the same new scene and bank in chase 1 and 2. IDK if should use chase 6 first then 5 and so on... Maybe that way I won't overwrite chase 1...

Pretty good tutorial, too much asides though. Also, you didn't talk about the fade time slider. It allows you to set the transition time from scene to scene. :)

@beto012190 the setup used in the vid was a Chauvet DMX 55 controller, 2 x American DJ pro LED par cans and a ACME Dynatwin.

they are automatically set by the light itself, there is a list of which fader does what in the instruction manual that accompanies each lighting effect

hey mate i am just about to get into Djing and i just bought a strobe but im considering returning it and upgrading to a DMX compatable but im not sure how much i will be spending so just on a rough estimate how much did it cost to get the products in this video? and im gunna try and get a DMX compatable laser system but im not trying to spend to much so in total Controller Board Strobes Lighting Software how much would it cost? and how much for a good laser system and haser?

you just set a few more scenes using only the dynatwin and add them into the normal chase. The desk allows you to control each mirror individualy and also choose which gobo is being used and the speed of stobe etc.

ohhh dont worry i fixed it. having a dumb moment.. i had all the chases turned on... looks great now got two led dynarocks and two led parcans linked to it looks kwl... thanks very much if it wernt for you i would properly still be wondering where to put the ac adapter... :p

dmx cables r just xlr or 3 pin microphone cables u can get them from any dj store :)

if they r dmx compatible lights then yes , but check if they are 3 pin or the older five pin dmx as this desk uses the newer 3 pin dmx inputs , you may however be able to buy an adapter but im not sure :)

yep it does, it also has a joystick on it to make setting up or directing a moving head "on the fly" easier. the desk was £120 :)

How do you connect a fog machine to a universal DMX controller and with what type of cable?

hi,if ur just connecting the smoke machine and no other lighting to the controller, you connect it straight into the desk using an XLR/DMX lead, and use the dip switches on the smoke machine to assign it to a "scanner" channel on the desk (there will be instructions on what dip switch settings to use in the smoke machines manual).

If ur plugging lights into desk also just use an XLR/DMX lead to add the smoke machine into the "daisy chain" of fixtures and again set the dip switches as before.:)

Hi, In order to control the strobing function of the par cans you need to set the fixture to be controlled in 6 or seven channel DMX mode. The control for strobing the light will be then on the fader no. 5 on the desk.

for this demo i only has them set to 3 channel DMX mode so i had no control over the stobe :)

The DMX Channels are 16 channels apart to allow you to control each element, therefore you can set the colour, gobo, strobe...etc.
