Actually, Romney hasn't become wiser. It was painfully obvious when Fred Thompson displayed true conservatism. Romney tried to ride the Thompson coat tails, but he never had that confidence in his character which defines a true conservative like Reagan or Thompson. None of them did. Ron Paul had conviction in his voice at the very least. He was right about the FED RES it turns out. A Thompson-Paul ticket would have been ideal.

This criticism will never stick... especially because you are taking this snippet out of context... NOTE TO HUMAN RACE: When an ignorant critic only gives you a couple sentence out of years of speeches, hours of debates, and you can't even tell what exactly Romney is responding to, it probably is a case of a political spinner taking things out of context. Romney will win in '08.

Kennedy is a liar. Just because of what 2 republicans did doesn't mean he should take those behaviors and use them to discredit other republicans. Why are you asking Romney to apologize for what he said? you should be asking him to apologize for trusting Ted Kennedy's statement and taking it so seriously.

ummm? I don't think you'll ever get an apology for that "I'm not trying to return to reagan / bush". It was his reaction to a criticism of the bush / reagan team regarding increase in poverty / out of wedlock births / unemployment. Of course he doesn't want to own what he didn't do especially when Kennedy is trying to stick those things on him because he was running as a republican.
