Each company has had their good chips and bad chips. I buy AMD because they're reasonably priced, and they don't lean on computer companies.
Intel - first 386 (slower than the 286!), 66MHz Pentium (very hot and unstable), first Slot 1 Celeron (no L2 cache, slower than Pentium I), first Pentium 4 (slower than a mid-grade Pentium 3)
AMD - K5 (good chip, but took forever to come out), first Athlon Thunderbird (fast, but no overheat protection), Phenom I (L2 cache bug might hang the system)
@MrSbodeg Have you even tried one yet? They just released them to the market yesterday. Try one and then say they suck after saving loads of money buying one, compared to flagship 1 killodollar Intel CPUs.
@CubeComputerChannel hahahaha you comparing with the 6 core intels extreme. Bulldozer can't even beat the 2500k which cost 170 and is a quad core. Please don't talk anymore
@MrSbodeg Actually, the 2500k and 8120 are $219.99 on Newegg. And I have the right to talk all I want. This is my video, and you have the right to say your opinion, but don't tell me not to talk anymore.
@CubeComputerChannel In my country its 170. The 2500k smashes the 8120 to his knees lol. You talk lots of crap so yeah im basically telling you to shut up. You are giving misinformation to lots of people who dont know anything about these things. I think its BS.
@MrSbodeg Actually, in many tests I've seen, the 2500k beats the 2500k in some benchmarks, while in gaming, the CPUs perform very close to one another. The bulldozer overclocks very well, as AMD promised.
@MrSbodeg In terms of you telling me to shut up, and my videos are crap, and mis-informative, the majority of what I say in my videos is information based on what a reputable review sites specify. Remember that this video was produced well before the chips were RELEASED. Many reviewers thought that the bulldozer had a slight leading edge against Intel.
@MrSbodeg For those who disrespect me and other viewers on Cube Computer Channel, I enforce a set of rules for those who post rude or offensive comments on the channel, or its videos. When commenting, you are allowed to voice your opinion about a given video, but please refrain from being rude toward me or other viewers. Violators will receive a warning strike for each offense (up to 3 are allowed), and if there is a 4th offense, your communications may be blocked from the channel for a year.
- Stating that I talk lots of crap in my videos. - I don't mind if people tell me that the video is mis-informative in a professional, respectful manner, but the way you did was very disrespectful.
@CubeComputerChannel I didn't say that all your video's are crap and I don't disrespect you. I only said the amd bulldozer is a faildozer/sucks. I say that the performance of the "8core" amd is not good since the 2500k is a quad core cpu which performs BETTER then the amd. Thats all I said. Other amd users, who are able to see the reality, are also stating the same as what I see.Nevertheless I don't care that you are making pathetic rules because you obviously can't handle the facts.
@CubeComputerChannel I also don't see how I can disrespect other viewers with saying, bulldozer sucks....... thats a facts. I respect your viewers in a way that I want that people are overlooking a product as the way it should. Yes it's a 8 core but that doesn't create a better CPU. Which amd has proven. It's a pathetic marketing strategy and it is nasty!!
My rules aren't pathetic. Whether you like them or not, they still apply. If you would've just stated "the amd bulldozer is a faildozer/sucks. I say that the performance of the "8core" amd is not good since the 2500k is a quad core cpu which performs BETTER then the amd." in the previous comment instead of "You talk lots of crap so yeah im basically telling you to shut up" (seriously, would you talk to your family like that?), things would've been fine.
@CubeComputerChannel Last reply from me, since this has no purpose(since i'm talking to a hardcore amd fan obviously). I said "shut up" because you are comparing a amd processor with a 6 CORE INTEL MASTER PIECE which cost 1000 dollars??? I mean c'mon after that reply I cannot take your vids serious, period. It is not even capable of outperforming the 2500k's. Hell it cannot even outperform Phemon II with any decent margin. The worst thing to do as a reviewer is not being objective. PEACE
@MrSbodeg Actually, I just looked at the results of a performance test and the bulldozer beat the 2500k, and was sometimes even with the 2600K in some tests. The intels were faster at memory read/write, and slightly faster at video compression By no means am I saying that the AMDs are better than Intels, but you're bashing on an OLD OUTDATED video. Information changes with the blink of an eye.
(continuing...) At least you don't always have to replace a motherboard to upgrade an AMD setup. Many AM3 motherboards support the new processors with a BIOS update, while with Intel, they seem to create a new socket for everything they release... 775, then 1366, then 1156, then 1155, while AMD went from AM2+ to AM3, yet made the AM3 backwards compatible with many AM2+ setups, and the AM3+ is backwards compatible with some boards.
@kasumisman An article on lenzfire . com (published in July) states that the release date has been finalized, and the release date will be on the 19th, so a week from now, we'll see of the stores start selling them. They better hurry up and get them out the door, otherwise, Intel will have something newer and greater, and it will be just like when the first gen Phenom was released. That CPU was way behind it's time.
@CubeComputerChannel Thanks for the info Nick. However, since AMD has kept delaying (if your resource is true) I have decided to make an i5 2500k build. I want to stick with that if AMD's launch doesn't prove to be better...In a way I kinda want AMD's lauch to be horrible. At the same time I want there CPU to be stronger so I don't have to force myself to get an Intel CPU. It would be nice to stick with what I'm fimilair with. That means OCing as well...Tired of using my x4 9850 already.
@kasumisman I bet you are tired of a 1st gen Phenom... Keep in mind that many AM2+ motherboards will accept an AM3 CPU, so you could probably run a Phenom II X4 or even a X6 for the time being.
from what i see from system recomended specs for gaming is see intel's CPUs doing more with less cores, do u know why? im want to learn about CPUs more.
@grandmasterhack The cores on the i7 have HT technology, so they can process two threads with one core, while AMD is still processing one thread with one core.
@CubeComputerChannel
What type of c2q did you try to overclock was it a kentsfield,or a yorkfield(-6M)
Maxbrando2000 1 month ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@Maxbrando2000 I don't remember which one it was. I'm guessing Yorkdale. The motherboard wasn't the greatest for overclocking.
