They warmed up Joan Jett in Halifax 1981. Joan Jett asked the crowd halfway thru her set if they wanted QCK to come back on stage. QCK appearantly did the same thing to Ozzy too. The ate headliners. 4 part harmony. Guitarist w a BC Rich plugged into a Hiwatt! Hard act to follow. Great songs.
I used to book Cambridge for highschool dances in Southern Saskatchewan in the late 70's before they moved to Winnipeg and became Queen City Kids. That was some of the best live music I have experienced, and why I am still a live music fan to this day! I think I still have a poster for Cambridge in my memorabilia stash from a dance that I booked back in '78 or '79.
saw these guys, they were the opening act for Ozzy in Winnipeg in 81 or 82. Only time in my life when the warm up band blew the doors off of the main headliner. I still listen to their music, 30 years later. What does that say? These guys should have made it alot farther than they did. I grew up in northern Minn and these guys were a staple in our music.
@stub270 I was there at that concert and you are absolutely right. My wife said exactly the same words they were way superior to Ozborne that night. Wow.... a long time ago..... at the old Winnipeg Arena!
@stub270 shortly after Randy Rhodes death. Brad Gillis on gtr for Ozzy? Ozzy was a mess...drunk. QCK blew them away. Randy Rhodes was w Ozzy in Vancouver and Edmonton...but then they ended up in Florida and Oklahoma and Randy died. I saw Van Halen warm up Eddie Money in 1979 in Edmonton on the VH2 tour. We all left the concert to re-evaluate life after 2 songs of Eddie Money's set. We just saw EVH...we were in shock.
@CHEAPTRICK99 ...yes they were and i remember at twelve years old hanging out in front of the old bank building on Portage Ave Winnipeg MB, Can. They did it beside the old Claridon Hotel ... where this was recorded ... i love it !!!
Wow, good tune! At around 2:30 the guitar solo is reminisant of eagles hotel california.

Before QCK was QCK, weren't they called Cambridge? Saw them in our hometown in the late 70's in Sask.
