Mac has its own virus, it's just rare because the machine is not popular. Another reason is Mac has a simpler system.

I personally think PC is more user friendly with more shortcut keys (it really helps). Some said Mac is for designers...well, maybe (it benefited modern typographers like Zuzana Licko of Emigre) but not now. Adobe in Mac is just weird, inconsistent and limited shortcut keys, limited video conversions etc.

I can't speak for either mac or pc but for myself, I have always had pc's and switched just over a year ago to mac. I have never gotten a virus on the mac and have not changed my habits online one bit. I am very happy with its performance however, I am not a gamer and if I was I would have a pc for that purpose only. The whole mac v.s pc fight is entertaining at least! If you try a mac you will be impressed for sure.

People here seem to have a lot hang-ups about the prices of Macs. It's very true that Macs are more expensive than PCs, but it's not because Apple's products are aesthetically pleasing. My sister bought a new PC off-the-shelf at Best Buy because it was cheaper. It came with a lot of memory-expensive adware and trial software, which is probably why the computer was inexpensive. Macs don't come with this type of software, which part of the reason why they're so much more expensive.
