My old Vivitar 285 no longer works and was going to replace it until I saw this clip....would you suggest getting the 283 instead? Where can I find metal hot shoes or the Holly Foot?
Nice. I like the idea of the stick up LED lights for accent and the way to make use of the nasty Morris lights. Perfect for adding some light cheaply.
Thanks David for "opening the kimono" so to speak about your gear and techniques. I no longer shoot pro anymore, but when I did ('87-'90) the photographic community of pros seemed so closed and afraid to reveal techniques. It is refreshing to see you are not like that in spite of coming from that generation.
Love the comment too about the 35mm film cans it made me laugh. I remember polaroid backs for proofs too. Man we have come a long way eh?

Are you saying Holly Foot for the pc to shoe adapters?. Who makes these and where do you find them?
Thanks!
