  • yo your wild seafood, camden yards is one of the nicest stadiums in pro sports, all the players from other teams say it too!! you kno alot of the stadiums built after it, were built like it

  • Good to see the beginnings of Fenway Park South.

  • @Thelookoutslookout Worst fans in baseball...Red Sux fans

  • @billyk23 Yeah, that's why we take over your stadium whenever we play you there. That's why we have the longest home sellout streak in baseball. Get real, man.

  • In 1991, the 1980s were still hanging on it seems.

  • Sam horn is going to be breaking a lot of those windows...lol

  • you have to remember that was in 91 and Sam Horn was their biggest threat

  • Interesting video....going there tomorrow..

  • bring back memorial stadium

  • big waste of money. memorial was the best

  • I dont think it was a waste of money but I too liked memorial better.

  • Waste of money?? don't get me wrong I loved Memorial, but I surely didnt like walking around 33rd street in that shitty neighborhood late night after games, and it was built for football. Camden is one of the best in the league still after 17 years

  • @seafood360 lol, how was this a waste of money? Memorial was falling down around the Orioles and if the Orioles didn't get a new stadium they were probably going to eventually move out of town like another Baltimore team.

  • nice video

  • i just came back from there 2day it was awesome

  • Do you have the first opening day at OPCY or any other O's game in 1992? If so, do you have it from WMAR or HTS feeds?

  • i do give me some time and ill upload them

  • thanks. please make sure there is no copyright infringement intended.

  • nowadays its hard to upload anything that someone dont cry copyright infringment i mean when you upload their videos you are basicly promoting their product. of course major league baseball is hard to upload. they are always crying infringment

  • Go O's!! Thanks for the upload!! I was 7 when Oriole Park opened. No stadium can compare, others try to copy, but this is the original old-fashioned ballpark. It's strange to see it under constuction. I've been a die hard O's fan all my life, but I wasn't lucky enough to see the birds play in Memorial Stadium.

  • I went to a Nationals game last week...it's amazing how much better Camden Yards is, and it's 16 years older!

  • yep it is :)....how is the new nationals ballpark anyway? ihavent been there

  • i agree but a new poll said that the orioles are no. 6 behind washington and pittsburgh and of course boston chicago and new york are ahead of them but oriole park should be ranked the best of the new parks because it is the blue print for all new parks built

  • The biggest complaint I have about Nationals Park is...they have one big opening in left center, similar to Camden Yards, and the first thing in your field of view is a parking garage. A freakin parking garage...DC has some of the world's most recognizable buildings, and all you see is a parking garage. Pathetic.

  • ya, but Wrigley Fenway and Yankee inspired this stadium.

  • There really isn't any inspiration from those stadiums in Camden Yards. I guess if you're saying that they wanted an older, more nastalgic looking stadium then yes, but there really aren't any similarites, and I have been to all four stadiums

  • @caddlemen i dont think so, there is nothing in camden yards that remotely looks like any of those stadiums

  • I don't seem to remember Sam Horn breaking too many windows.

  • he didnt but i thought back then that the warehouse would be hit alot but we know know it wasnt

  • I was at a game in the early days of Camden Yards and Horn hit one that just missed the bottom of the score board. 420 feet if I remember correctly. If he had just pulled it...

  • this ballpark revolutionized the neo-classic stadiums that are in fashion today..before this cookie cutters and multi-sports complexes were used..infact, not many teams representing the city they came from even played in the city they represented all that changed..when the orioles were moved into the city which was also something ball clubs and football teams started doing around the 90's and 2000's

  • I used to live in Federal Hill a few blocks away. I used to watch the construction from my rooftop.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm from Annapolis so we'd drive past the construction site every time we'd go see the O's play at Memorial Stadium. I pretty much saw Camden Yards built from the ground up.

  • Wow - to think that the Ravens didn't exist at this point...

  • no they were not. they came here in 1996
