So, instead, Gatto attended the Downtown Burbank Arts Festival on April 24, he said.

“Whenever you’re running for office you’re pulled in many different directions, and I always want to look out for voters, but I don’t view a genocide commemoration as a campaign opportunity,” Gatto said.

I watched what there is of the democratic club of burbank debate here on you tube but I don't believe that's the whole debate. My question is why would the democratic club have a debate and endorse this Gato man and never even invite the rest of Burbanks Democrats to the debate ? What did they really have to hide ? They should invite all of Burbanks democrats to the debate they sponsor and the fact they did not makes me suspicious of them.

First thing the person responsible for this propaganda needs to come to terms with is the fact that the Burbank Democratic Club has not sponsored any debates or forums in this race.

It may say so in the papers. That does not make it true.

On the front of the Burbank Democratic Club website, it makes note of the candidates forum. Then, on what would appear to be the Burbank Democratic Club's YouTube channel, they use the club's logo and call the channel BurbankDems.

It is true that the Burbank Dem Club did publicize the event, and has posted a video of the event on it's channel.

But the event was not sponsored by the Burbank Democratic Club. In point of fact, The Burbank Democratic Club had endorsed Gatto more than a month before the forum and there was no chance that Nayiri would have attended a forum sponsored by the Burbank Democratic Club.

You simply don't know what you are talking about. This was not sponsored by the club.

Nayiri seems too much like an establishment candidate, versed and groomed specifically for a job like this. Sunder seems more genuine and in touch with the issues.

As for the rest, politics as usual. Voters should be able to decide who they want to vote for (even Chahe). Being Armenian does not make a difference. Why is it assumed Armenian voters would or should be able to vote as a monoethnic entity or a bloc? All because Nayiri is Armenian does that mean we are obliged to vote for her?

Not "obliged." It should be as simple as a natural inclination.

If you look at the issues of concern to Armenians (of any nationality) around the world, it isn't the non-Armenians that are initiating or propagating them. It is the Armenians. That goes for members of any ethnic group, for any "cause." It's called relativity. Learn it, because you need to.
