Yeah, i try to play reggae, and my late friend used to make me play funk and pop, and it adds up to a better drummer in the end; Derek, is one hell of a drummer, and im guessing this is how he got good-play anything and everything.

I'd be glad to see some jazz drummin' too. Since I read from Drummerworld(.com) that you've done some. Also, I've seen some lessons fron Derek here I Youtube, but cannot find them anymore, are they deleted or what happened? There was some pretty nice exercises, for me at least, about improving strength and endurance.

Fucking great.This is how ALL Musicians should be-versatile, intuitive and able to play whatever is thrown at them.That is a MUSICIAN-the hack who pumps at double bass all day long, is a Joey-Jordison wannabe (Jordison is actually very versatile too, but more famed for fast drumming). Maybe all you musicians out there, can try something like this-stop the metal or heavier sound you may be going for even for a few hours, and see how skilled you really are,as you traverse through different styles.
