Someone i called my best friend for 7 years ended up to be pysically and emotionally abusive. She started out a good friend but then started hitting me if i did something she viewed as wrong. she made me feel like i was always wrong. manipulated me into staying in the friendship. pulled me away from everyone in my life. beat it into my head that she is the only person who cares. I cared so much about her and so desperately wanted to be loved and cared about that i stayed. i recently got out.

I have trouble letting people in and getting everything she said out of my head. Just know that you aren't alone in this!

I love this song, because I've been there. My highschool sweetheart, went from a sweet boy, to a horny and verbally abusive young man, who used me for his own needs, even after he broke up with me. But, when you're in love...you do stupid things.

I'm 16. I chose this song to choreograph to for modern dance. It's so amazing how much I can relate to this song. It makes me think about my father. And my stepfather. My father abused me in my childhood, physically. I had black eyes, bruises, cuts, & I remember going to school saying I fell. I still get verbal abuse everyday from my stepfather. My mother says it is "normal" for a stepfather to get angry with a teenage child from a previous marriage. I find myself crying when I listen to this.

You need people to talk to? there are professionals out there, there are real people.. i can't stand people trying to get some attention by telling stories like that.. "the biggest problems are the ones most quiet.." think about it. i know what I'm talking about..

This song is about a woman trapped in a very emotionally abusive relationship. She knows in her mind that she needs to leave him, but her heart she still loves him so much and just hopes that one day he'll change.

I think it's a situation that a lot of women can relate to, and hat's why this song is so touching. Powerful.

Plumb is pretty, I think. Her voice is very Unique and it's just very different then many other singers. She's being like her, and nt like somebody else, you know?

In a way she reminds me of a cross between Tori Amos and Imogean Heap which are both also women with very lovely, but unique voices. I'm only recently discovered Plumb but I really do love her music so far. ^^
