Japanese fighters are a joke. They build their resumes on a bunch of desperate, starving, weight-drained amateurs from Thailand and the Philippines. And they get exposed when they fight good fighters from the U.S.
Example: None of the Japanese champions dared to fight Nonito Donaire when he wanted to unify the titles at 112 lbs, hiding behind lies such as "the IBO and IBF aren't recognized sanctioning bodies."
@darkblastjeans well i think your description is the exact opposite. Unlike Mexico, Thailand (the record builders), and Philippines (even though Im a Filipino). Japanese boxing is different. They value respect for the fighters. They treat both fighters equally, In the ring the judges don't look at your resume they focus on your performance. if your undefeated and get outboxed by a debutante then its your fault. they don't protect the named and they challenge the prodigies.
@darkblastjeans Lol... well they sure don't dominate the heavy weights in mma. The best jap fighters are usually natural weight ... which is the lowest weight you'll ever find! haha
I don't know what this "jejemon," wub3fisted is talking about. Hey, if you respect the Japanese, don't lambast your people. If they are great, then why are they not ranked high worldwide? And there are Filipinos who are OPBF title holders. Know your facts first!
@will43 well there are many Japanese champions but they only dominate the lower weight class. The Japanese only recognize the wbc and the wba and they conduct most of the fights on their home country. And he didn't mean to castigate his people, he's just saying the truth. Our Local champions are not valued here and they still need to go to the US for them to be recognized. Also there's no future here for losers unlike in japan where you can still get a good paycheck for local undercard fights.
japan is the number 1 boxing country in asia. .im a filipino but i have to say it. .Japan has their own boxing world and their fighters are respected and not called bums. they dominated the OPBF, the Japanese titles are not just ordinary titles for them (our Philippine Champions are not respected and not known and being considered nothing by the public) japanese fighters are disciplined and protected by their boxing organization. while our fighters are being Feed and not cared and called BUMS
It's probably true that the Japanese takes care of their fighter much better, but Philippine boxers are much better in talent. Donaire and Pacquiao are examples when the filipino fighters have the proper people behind them to provide the right training, diet, and management. Filipinos possesses many kinds of talent due to genetic diversity.
dont be suprised!! bcoz filipino dominated boxing here in asia!! thailand also but the philippines are more great!! i like pacquiao! im a japanese we have champion like naito daisuke but i think the boxer from the philppines are more stronger!
all the phillipines has is pacquiao. c'mon, you pinoys gotta chill with that shit. Sure Pacquiao is awesome but c'mon, dont act like every pinoy boxer is great. Besides Pacquiao, you have Nonito who is Pinoy-american and isn't generally accepted by the phillipino community.
@GreatestCreation909 How can you say that about nonito? I'm filipino and I live in the Philippines, and I have more credibility than you do when I say the contrary; Nonito is generally accepted by the filipino community. He's just about as popular as pacquiao was when pacquiao was his age.
Oh alright. I know a couple of Pinoys who didn't appreciate Nonito and was talking alot of crap about him. How he wasn't liked because he was arrogant or something. So I just figured they were right. My bad.
@GreatestCreation909 Oh yeah people have different opinions about him though. Generally, he is well liked, and he has a regular tv show even, which goes to show how popular he is. There were instances though where he made assertive comments which were perceived by some as arrogance and indifference to how other people might feel about his comments. But many were intelligent enough to know that Nonito's just saying it like it is and that he's right.
