We are called to follow Jesus, however God understands our weaknesses and extends to us His most amazing Love and Mercy when we fall short. When we use Perfection as the example to attain towards...we always fall short because of being in this veil of flesh.
Paul wrote about it in Romans where he had to die to himself daily...
It seems the closer we get to the Lord...the less we think of ourselves becoming more dependant on Him!
I was blessed by your thoughts. I think they were good to share indeed. I would only have one caution I thought of...we should take care that we aren't too quick to brush off the potential that it may be the Holy Spirit's conviction, rather than a taunt of Satan. Prayer for discernment is paramount of course. I liked your comment about dwelling on the things of God and His goodness, rather than giving glory to our sin and faults.
