Hi, thanks for making this video, it's very helpful. I have a question though, how would you clean a hulusi? I've got one and I have no idea how to clean it. Googled it too but nothing relevant came up. Thanks in advance
I have a question: my dad recently brought home a hulusi from his trip to china. In trying to learn how to play, I've found that even when I change finger positions, the instrument doesn't change notes, unless i close all the holes. Doing this, it produces a very beautiful sounds, but all the other positions will produce just a car horn sounding noise. Is it perhaps broken?
Hi great vid... i love my hulusi and i'm trying to learn how to play but am finding it hard finding sheet music would you be able to send me some please and also the narnia song it sounds amazing
@Squeemin I dont have sheet music specifically for the Hulusi. I find piano or flute music and I play the main melody. Just find out what key your Hulusi is and then take any sheet music in that key and you should be able to play it on the Hulusi.
is that a bflat hulusi? I feel ripe off, cuz i bought a $30 c hulusi from ebay from interachina, and i got it today, but the sound doesn't have any monotone, like do re me fa la....T_T....any help or any website that have really good quality hulusi with lower price?
@Juinor I got mine from a place called Virtualvillage[dot] com and it cost me about $30 It is also a Bflat Hulusi and I think it works well. When I first bought my Hulusi I though it was broken too LOL but, I just found that I was not using enough air pressure to get the notes at first.
@JohnBurgessMusic - I also play a TON of ethnic flutes and pennywhistles. I can also play the Egyptian mijwiz (requires circular breathing), Chinese Dizi, and Turkish Ney.
BTW, good luck with your concert coming! Hope you are prepared :)
is my hulusi broken? it can only play 3/4 different notes. most fingerings don't adjust the sound. what's wrong with it?
