Well, if your TV has a composite input (most of them have), you don't need to use a SCART connector at all. Although with SCART you can have a real split RGB signal, in this case the original source is already transformed into a composite signal giving no better results than the RCA jacks
I don't think there is a difference between a US and a PAL version. All i have to do is get the power and the simple RF cable (think that is it(the black cable))

Nice video ! Composite for NES is the way to go !
Most modern LCDs or Plasmas will work better that way with the NES !

Pal version runs games slightly slower at 50hz where as the US runs games at 60hz. Power supply is differently as well!
In the US all consoles use 110v !
In Europe and Asia they use 200v !
