I love your fish! So gorgeous... I have 2 baby goldfish- a Pearlscale and a Black Moor, who will be moved into a 30 gallon tank as soon as I find someone to trade my 40 gallon for it! It's too big to fit in my room between the budgie cage and my desk :)

LMAO, it does make the tank smell quite bad in my experience, especially if it's cooked in the microwave and put in tank . and left there for days on end.

The lights, water kinda makes it worse.

I have mine in the tank for about an hour then remove it!

Hello my fish has became ill I put him in a hospital tank and put in aquarium salt he seemed more cheerful. Then the next 2 days I put in Goldmed and this afternoon he seems even worse less active just floating about he riggles but then floats. I dont want him to die and I hope its not too late. Ive also tried peas and I bought swimbladder medicine today.

My mum thinks swimbladder.

Another person thinks organ damage.

Lettuce is good. Some people freeze it first to soften it up. They have to learn to tug it to pieces.

Some lettuce is tough. But they will either rip it up, or give up.

You can freeze or whatever. Let them give it a try - experiment. Just take out any they don't eat so it doesn't rot.

I would make the veggies a separate meal. 3 or 4 times a week is fine.

It's fine. Any vegetable is fine. They might not eat it, but you can try anything if you clean extra pieces out of the tank.

Microwave 3 minutes in a coffee cup with enough water to cover it.. Same thing for the little ones, but 4 minutes in the micro instead. It takes them a little while to figure out it's food, but when they do - it will be similar to what's in this vid on a smaller scale.

Interesting that you have no gravel, but don't they get awfully bored? My goldfish spend all day sucking on their gravel, trying to find tidbits.

The little floaty things are broccoli bits. They don't get bored. And gravel stores waste and toxins - and goldfish can get gravel stuck in their mouth and die. To use it or not is a personal decision.
