  • @rubyduarte1988 Well i think its kinda amazing the accusations that begin with such little information. For one, Acuras are FWD and when you have enough power to the front wheels, the tires chirp when switching gears(primarily from 1st to second). Being that it is FWD the weight shifts to the rear which makes it the easiest to chirp tires with. By the way I have owned 3 acuras w/automatics (only automatics for convenience of commuting and traffic) and they chirp in a similar fashion so Im sorry?

  • yea... gonna have to call bullshit on this one man i'm sorry... i have a 2007 civic Si turbo, and the spool from the turbo is clearly loud enough to be heard inside the cabin and that's with a 70mm exhaust which is loud. gonna have to hear this car passing by on the street with a camera outside to believe it.

  • CL has heated leather seats, onboard navigation, 6-cd changer, front side and middle airbags..STOCK. Mustangs don't come with all that, even in 2010. The high end GT's get onboard nav and XM radio with a single CD changer but still lack heated leather+motorized moonroof. These are important features for chicago winters.

    CL is a great midground between power and luxury; faster than 90% of what's on the road and a lot more comfy. Plus if you lose it in an accident...

Official is legal, which would be in a straight line or on a timed course that everyone gets to practice. Im talking about balls out getting from a to z on a freeway with hundreds of random variables and people who change lanes without blinkers. NOT waiting until traffic is clear so we can pin it in a straight line. And YES. I AM saying I CAN beat a Corvette or STI half decent driver.

If you dont it cantaing the boost in the downtube and releases back into the manifold when you hit the gas

  • @brickwall069 There is way to much induction noise that no amount of "sound proofing" can hide, a turbo would cancel out these frequencies, no matter what size or configuration, because it is in direct path of the induction system and the intake.

  • My whole household works for ACURA and to be honest with you that car in the vid did not have TURBO. I could hear and see how the RPM and speed reacted, Plus the custom turbo is unlike the norm....

  • This was my car - 6pd. This video was taken while it was NOT turbocharged. I did turbocharge the car some months later and it was obviously much quicker. In the setup in the video, it was running low 13's/high 12's with the full weight of the car. With the turbo, it was much quicker - search for Acura CL turbo Porsche Carrera GT to look for a vid against the mightly 612hp Carrera GT.

    Car was also featured in Turbo Magazine while turbocharged

  • lol. just bought mine. i would recoment cold air filter, (if they even make em fo this car), short ram would do the trick as well. Headers with high flow cat(try to make it a legal one), 2.5 inch piping would be good for this size of motor producing 260 HP. So with the whole air system changed, I would say you would improve 15-25HP. Headers would give u a big chunk. Anyway, I would say you would improve you gas milage by 3-5mpg(no joke>, if its driven right that is :)

  • I dont think Acura really intended to have this car be modified like the RSX or even the NSX. Acura aimed to produce a mid luxury coupe that competes with BMW 3 series coupe for the price and the luxury ammenities you get with the car.Its more of a car you have your chick sit next to you for a drive to the movies or dinner and look good doing it.If your mouth talks money by spending so much trying to gain performance, thats why Acura and Hondas flagship performance cars are the s2000 and the NSX

  • i agree. I actually have a TL. Its a nice car to look good in, especially if you put decent rims on them. Not much to brag about performance, but it is pretty quick compared to other cars. It is a luxury car. A very comfortable one, i drive a lot of miles and i had mine for 3 years, never gave me one problem.

  • The reason I say this is because 1. I have a CL, I know 2. Its really hard to find QUALITY parts for it especially that Comptech is out now 3. Turbo kits, yeah, but you need to custom build one and tuned 4. Comptech blower can only do so much performance gains 5. SOHC 6. FWD 7. Weight = 4 door TL 8. glass tranny 9. incompetent pressure plates if turbo'd or supercharged 10. its a mid-luxury coupe

    (reasons why I think spending money to gain performance is stupid)Its a badass car but not for speed

  • Acura base model or Type S should only be driven as a mid-performance daily driver. A s2000 is a better car overall for the same price tag that is in the same honda family. The Cl is a nice car, i have one, but nothing to be extremely proud about its performance. Don't even think about purchasing one if you're going to be stuck with an auto. Anyone who is looking for performance in a CL and dropping grand after grand is sort of pathetic in my honest opinion. I do have a lot of respect for Azine.

  • I am the owner - this video was Naturally Aspirated, not Turbo. Car ran low 13's with about 272whp. A stock CL doesn't pull that that BTW. Anyways, turbo vidoes are also available... MUCH quicker :) I have one vs. a Carrera GT.
