ahhh man now I just have to go back to the badlands.... I was there about almost two years ago and it is just one awesome place along with the black hills about 30 miles west of the bad lands. Yea the American west is an amazing and awe inspiring place.
I drove an 18 wheeler for 20 years and when i would cross the bad lands i couldn't resist but to pop in this soundtrack. All i could see for miles was images that crossed my mind of buffalo and Indians. Of course my eyes were on the road but my mind was in a state of day dreaming.
Thanks for posting vids like this. They remind me of just how beautiful our world and existence are. Keep spreading happiness because positivity is infectious and negativity is infectious. And there's enough downers in our word :)
I think this is Badlands National Park in South Dakota, east of the Black Hills and Rapid City. Very interesting place. It's like hiking on the moon. Love the prairie dogs, too. :-)
These are the badlands of North Dakota. The colors of these natural wonders are said to be beautiful when the light is right. Furthermore, there is much Sioux history tied to this land.
I saw this movie in the theaters when it was released. Great movie and inspired me to travel to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park which has now become a family tradition......great movie a must own and get the directors cut...even better.....
My home is 20 minutes from the Badlands/Medora. I love being there. I practically call the Badlands my first home. I have spent many years and have many memories there. Thanks for posting your video. Beautifully done.
If you think the film is awesome, then read the book and let your imagination paint the pictures as you float from page to page. As you do, John Barry's haunting theme will transport you to another time and place - magical.
what a beautiful park

Thanks for the photos. Love the Badlands! John Barry died very recently (30 January 2011), age 78. One of the great contemporary composers.
