  • Found "Red Sails in the Sunset" in my old vinyl collection today as I'm sorting through things and thought..."wonder if anyone caught these guys live and put it on utube?" YES!

Thank you for putting this up!.

  • @chutoi26 Funny, i found a tape of them in my attic.

  • Being 7 feet tall would be cool!

  • i forgot how much i used to love this

  • i forgot how much i used to love this

  • mate...love peter garrett but what the fuck he has done for the people his talkin about

  • or the sell out coast

  • "Red Sails in the sunset"... magnifique album !!!!

  • Ozzie politics and Rock seems to be ahead of Europe (not hard admittedly).

  • people are stupid peter garret became the environment minster to try and help the country he made a few mistakes he had this free insulation thing that kind of backfired.

  • Gotta love Aussie Rock! It is so angular and catchy. Men at Work are in a bit of an employment setback, though LOL

  • midnight oil - best band ever

if only garrett didnt turn to politics, the world would be a happier place with more oils :(

  • I just got into this band so I don't know much. But, why is Peter Garrett a hypocrite?

  • @mikeellerbeck1 Because of some political stuff up not his fault though

  • My fave Oils song!!

  • This a an awesome song. I hope some one can get an original version somewhere. Thank you for posting this up on YouTube.

  • 2.50 in " as long as you upset no one and satisfy the people with the most money you'll stay in government"...

"Well, we don't care for those kind of government's in Australia...governments that don't care about nuclear weapons..."

What happened Pete? Some of us still don't like governments like that. We didn't want to become part of one.

  • @Gruntilla: Garrett sure turned into a hypocrite didn't he.

  • Sydney's interstate trains came to screaming halt the week this was on and I was stuck in sydney so I clearly remember watching this on the ABC with friends in North Ryde. Geesh....where did all that time go

  • I hand it to any band that can sound the same live as they do recorded, rare and Oils were one of them - but I will add that Oz bands seem to hold a higher % of that probably from all the years from youth clubs and pubs up to the point of fame. As ACDC says, its a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll.

  • How far offshore was the barge they was on ??

  • It was on Goat Island , watch the song "(wouldn't) read about it" in the related videos by 'weenyone' that gives a better view of the stage and crowd.

  • Uh: this is available on DVD? Is this the big benefit concert or is that another? Don't much like the song, Red Sails, or pink suits - but they're still in a class of their own and it looks like they always will be. I hear a lot of Moginie in this one. A bit too much but he's a great musical mind that's for sure.

  • I remember everybody at schoolies week in 1985 stopped and watched this concert on TV.One of the best ever.

  • best concert ever done

  • leave the overalls alone!OK?

  • No, its ALL about the suit & "respect"

  • It's all about the pink overalls.
