  • My first reaction to this video was "Oh, my God. Isn't this just a video of people getting blown up?"

  • On the anniversary of the first successful nuke...from someone who nearly died from down winders...I find this video sadly appropriate.

  • Woah, nice time! And I never thought about a fusion between this song and the nuclear "sun" light! Brilliant!

  • i like this song!!!!

  • Hell yeah John would have approved, after he got over the horror. I am a cancer survivor almost 5 year but LUCKY! I got cancer because I played in the dirt in my back yard in Nevada when I was 3 years old while they tested a nuke just a short distance away from our home...Our government calls it downwinders. It was the summer of 1963. My dad died way to early in 2003 from pancreatic cancer. Down winders. this shit is not done...little darlin.

  • Does a non split-track version of this song exist!? Jeez...

  • great contrast amongst the pics and the joyful sound, very original,i really apprreciate this, five thumbs up !!

  • this video with this song makes me think.............

I also have something to say about those explosions.......

    DAMN!!!

  • Great vid loving the terminator clips!!!! Loving the song perrrrfect!!!

  • here comes the atomic bombs more like.

  • wtf this aint here comes the sun it look more like people getting nuked man niga people diying

  • @thebeast9141 hush now darling

  • @thebeast9141 these are all tests

nobody died out of anger in these tests so just chill man

  • Love the song love the clip! :)

  • the origin is from nina simone ...

  • @siolux8 actually the original is this one, from beatles(1969). Nina covered 2 years later. love both ;)

  • Quite frankly I think everyone having fits here is missing two points. First of all, nuclear explosions are basically tiny suns, so it fits on that level, as a basic pun. And second of all, the contrast between the images and the actual message of the song makes a far more poignant point than using some 'appropriately dark' song would. Much more of an impression is left on the psyche, obviously. I think John Lennon himself would have approved.

  • @Alizara75 Congratulations, you win first place for best comment. I get the impression that some other people here must have spent their entire lives living in Disney Land, or something. Or maybe I was just raised in the military.

  • @serialnumber2012 Heh, thanks. I think the freaking out being done here is all part of the fact that most people live their lives thinking that if they ignore the darker parts of history they'll go away. Which only sets them up for repeating it. I've never been in the military but I don't see the sense in pretending life is all happy fun times either. After all, those bombs are still out there. They didn't go away just because the Cold War 'ended'.

  • I would have used "the manhattan project" by Rush, but..... whatever makes you happy. I know this is taking "artistic license" but i think is a kind of perverse interpretation of this song.

  • No, it is beautiful.

  • @mrwilliamjoel Rush are an abysmal band.

  • why is george harrison so amazing

  • wtf...?!

    cool=))

  • lol nice way to describe one of the most horrible unforgotten crimes in the history

  • since when is ending ww2 and saving millions of lives a crime?

  • yeah yeah yeah this is how the american politic works. very funny and brain washed.

  • wow. way to not answer the question.

  • and wow nice way to justify your crimes. and yes Mr. genius this is my way to answer your question and if u are a bit smart u would understand but obviously u are not.

  • lol since when was this song about nukes?

  • It's called someone using a song to make an artistic statement in his video. It doesn't matter if that is what the song is about

  • Nice the last one was cool it came from the terminator movie.Man nuclear fallouts look so cool when they wipe out everything.

  • Really good footage.

I would do something like that, since many month I thought about.

    Really great clip.

  • Now you scared me for life. Insted of this song making me happy,it scares me because some kid got their face melted off! Next time, you should lay off on the winter part. Aside from that, this is an awesome song.

  • It's a very clever, darkly ironic way to use the song. And it is a scientific fact that the sun (the nearest star) is a big perpetual hydrogen explosion that s 93 million miles away.

  • Ok i honestly love the beatles always and forever so just lay off with the comments. Its just one video god. Awsome song!!!

  • You could get TWICE as many views if you write THE BEATLES on the title.

  • wow judging all these comments almost all of you are peace hippies so you need to get out and smell the coffee (not the pot)

  • Stfu asshole and go get a life you are just jealous cuz The Beatles are the best fucking band ever an they are way better than whatever the fuck you listen to so just go get hit by a truck

  • ok the beatles is one of my favorite band thank you. so i was talking about the people hating the explosions. that was my way of saying that explosions happen get over it!

  • Comment removed

  • lol thats ironic...

  • nobody has any creativity about themselves anymore; if u cant punch a button and see it u know nothing about and never waana dare. get up off yer ASS! see the world- see the things you cant SEE,front of keypad, bunch a lame ass out spoken punks! go do a six mile hike then tall me whay you SEE?

  • not only can you not speak english you are incrediable ignorant.

    ontopic:

i love this song, for entire summer george was in a state of depressing and at the end of it he came out with this song.

  • huh?

  • @irishelvissox yeah I think too

  • And people are still wondering why we don't use atomic bombs anymore...

    that's so horrible...

  • oh, so horrible =( so much darker than i ever imagined. i am so naive.

  • hahahaha the "melting" part.... i didnt want to laugh but was impossible :P

  • The fucking claps are impossible.

  • You did a great job on this video. Very touching. Thanks for posting.

  • to combine this beautiful music with such a video is a sin - even if i look at the ironical moment. gruel posting.

  • oh shut up, the world isnt filled with roses blooming and birds singing and everyone happy, its shit, and if what im saying is a sin, who cares. GREAT SONG, GREAT VID

  • yes, if people like you will rule the world, there'd be no doubt this coming true.

and I repeat my last comment: gruel posting.

btw, god cares, but you didn't understand at least what I was talkin about.

  • wtf a sin al the shit that happens 2 ppl around the world and putting 2gether a song like this with video clips like that is beautiful

  • mal uso de la cancion

    buuuuuuuu

  • awesomeness song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think its reflect the world today how it is, allmost every country is in a war today and we peaople still using money to find a bomb that just kill the peaople and not destroying the houses and so on. the world is become a HELL!

  • isn't it AWESOME how government programs are able to project power as a force for good in the world!

  • whats wit the explotions

  • yeah...wtf!?

  • This is a happy song yet people are saying how the earth is guna get blown up or somet by the Sun..

  • In the end of the video, I see how it relates to the song. That last bomb in the video looks quite a lot like what's going to happen when it comes time for the sun to die. Earth will be consumed by fire!

  • I don't get what the explosions and other things have to do with the song, but like dangle said, If you don't like the video, don't watch it.

  • great video. I heart atomic explosions

  • If you dip shits have a problem with the video DON'T WATCH IT,just listen to the music.

  • horrible vid. song is amazing though.

and i not just saying the vid is horrid cause 'the world should be all happy and fluffy' cause i know it isnt, but that vid is awful!

  • best song ever dude

  • I wasn't really watching it, just listining, then I looked when the people were on fir and I couldn't believe my eyes!!! That was the last thing I was expecting! I was so shocked I watched it over and over!

Great job, it was very disturbing, which I think was your goal, so good job, you reached your goal! (I'll never think of the song in the same way again!)

    XD

    xoxo

    -Mewfriends

  • wtf is up with the chernobyl and all the bombs and shit wtf

  • Good up until stealing Terminator 2 sequence. But almost pulled off a really cool vid...Keep trying!

  • The video DOES FIT. That's the idea people, to be ironic. As much as we want the world to be only sunshine and puppies, it's not.

  • Thank you. Why is this so hard for so many to understand?

  • Because you missed the point of the song hope this helps

  • Comment removed

  • Because the Beatles weren't trying to be sick bastards like you. Great song, horrible video. You should feel bad about yourself.

  • wait -- The beatles were sick because they liked breaking into morgues to hack bodies to eat their cold dead body flesh like sushi. you should feel bad about yourself for not knowing this.

  • That never happened.

  • fukin hilarous........never gets old...

  • This song is great.

This music video is terrible for the song.

  • what vid is that? :P

  • damn you really kill this awesome song with this cruel vid..

please dont do that...take a song for your vid which fit...

  • yuck a skellaten

  • the irony in it his hilarious but its really about peace and all the boring crap.

  • Lol the video and the music what the hell.. .

  • this song.... amazing. ( :) thank the whatever lives above, to the side and around the small place i call home that the Beatles were here.

  • what the heck?

why do you have all these videos of things blowing up and stuff?

    way to interpret the song....

  • im sorry.... but i object to the song being about terrorists ans neuks.... it might have refrences... but there very small.... im sorry... but i Highly dissagree. and im sure others do too

  • "Here Comes the Sun was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that'.

  • Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I was going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric Clapton's house. The relief of not having to go see all those dopey accountants was wonderful, and I walked around the garden with one of Eric's acoustic guitars and wrote Here Comes The Sun"

  • this is not what the song is about at all

  • yeah it is

  • yeahh this is really disturbing. when i think of this song i think hapiness not little children and people burning and their skin melting off their bones, thats discgusting

  • little children and people burning and their skin melting off their bones is what the beatles were singing about in this song... they were terrorists back in the day, u didn't know?

  • really? i didnt know that. but still a little disturbing ya know?

  • Wrong message with your video.

  • hey what the guy/woman is saying is the war is over now we can see the sun or some thing like that

  • wrong comment in my video page.

  • I LOVE EXPLOSTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why put an video of an atomic bomb while it is a song over the sun

  • because the sun is a big happy atomic bomb

  • hmm... kinda interesting actually. i liked the irony of it lol very well done in a twisted sort of way =]

  • what the fuck was that!!? you just ruined that song! that last part almost made me throw up! im serious. i liked the beginning though.

  • jep idd why so bad end it made me also thow up my dinner

  • wha wha whaaa...

  • wha wha wha!

  • this song is the best!!!!! i love the beetles.

    HAHAHA

  • anyone who doesn't get the amazing awesomeness of this video:

you know how there are movies with montages of war and suffering set to "What a Wonderful World" sung by Louis Armstrong (e.g. Bowling for Colombine)? Well same thing. A more obvious example is "Don't Panic" by Coldplay. You know, "we live in a beautiful world" juxtaposed against bones.

  • um.....that was a bit weired?

  • ur spelling is a bit weirrededede

  • REVOLUTION IS COMING!

  • What the heck?

  • what the heck?

  • hahah i love it

  • schweet!

  • Comment removed

  • I am not convinced that George was a cannibal. I heard he only knawed on peoples bones. I am not sure that qualifies.

  • Very poor video but nice song.

  • I don't know about your intentions. I love the song, but your video is a realy artistic one.

  • It's irony.

  • lol I love the beatles and your rendition!

  • You understood badly the song!! Beatles was pacifists!! Harrison was pacifist!! is this a JOKE??!!

  • Harrison was a cannibal and ate children -- no joke.

  • hahahahaha buy a life freak!

  • [checks pulse] hmmm, it seems that I am already alive. I am confused by what you mean.

  • Sorry, I correct myself --> GET A LIFE!

  • But I said I'm alive -- what do u mean?

  • are you sure? you are dead inside...

  • ?......

  • Relax. It's supposed to be ironic.

  • how is this song about nuculear war

  • Whoa this got lots of comments. . .

    George Harrison>you

  • george totally pwns me, lol.

  • 1:59 to 2:09 ...is that real?

  • If you find this hard to watch, you probably need to watch. Take off your rose-colored glasses.

  • thank you.

  • um all i have to ask is y is there violence for the video when this song is about peace?!?!?

  • you are wrong. this song is about nukes.

  • isnt that the same thing?

  • haha the terminator part was funny

  • i like it its funny

  • Serialnumber2012, is 02:13-2:58 from one of the Terminator movies? Or?

  • it is

  • HaHaHa......kaliheart you must be a hare krishna. It is no great revelation that violence is in us, but Humans in general are sheep and follow the masses...attitudes of appeasement have never worked..It did not work for the allies in WWII or at any other time in History

  • not long now we will all see this terror and horror. We will see nuclear weapons used again in anger against humans

  • Since pacifists have more freedom of action in countries where traces of democracy survive, pacifism can act more effectively against democracy than for it. Objectively the pacifist is pro-Nazi.

"No, Not One," Adelphi (October 1941)

  • god.... the music just stresses the horror of the scenes even more... but it's still a beautiful music video.

  • the images totally go against the vibe of the song.

    Sick

  • ..."And I Say It's Alright"

.....This is a sad music video

unfortunatly It's not alright......I don't think it will ever be alright

  • Everyone should just nuke each other's nuclear silos. Then all the bombs and stuff are gone, the cities are fine and we've all got nothing to worry about. Or maybe we can all nuke the same vacant stretch of ocean at the same time. Bet that would look cool. :)

  • the subs have nukes too so its not just silos. Its not the blast itself that would kill and damage...The Radioactive fallout from an explosion kills many many many and it lingers and spreads. Fallout from all the nukes in the world would poisen the earth many times over.

  • not if you detonated each like 200 feet above the ground then. Guess I forgot about that. :S

  • a mockery of what George lived for

  • It was and still is an invitation to another way of being/living. We are not victims of violence. It lives within you. Heal the violence within you and you do not attract it from the outer world. Every time you stay with your emotional fear/anger/desire, like a mother, listening to its desires, learning to respond responsibly...every time you do that...you are loving the world by transforming darkness to light. Here comes the sun.

  • A very benevolent prospective; however, looking at why and how this song came into being, you'll learn George Harrison's impetus for creating it consisted of a much less lofty point of view.

  • Artists channel themes from the collective, kind of like web bot. That is their gift to humanity. Every artist knows that the messages they channel will be received differently by different people. You color your own world with your own perceptions. That is your power.

  • you nuke them, them nuke you. whats the end?

  • Lets nuke all of America's enemies before they get around to nuking us.

  • you nuke them, them nuke you. what the end?

  • Nukes are cool. They make the bad people go away.

  • We don't like you either, Bright Eyes. Let's have a BBQ together.

  • Lol.

Look what humanity does to itself :).

    I hate Humans , Really :)

  • Yes, in many ways, humans are unbelievable monsters

  • awesome music.. the people at the end couldnt have been real haha nuclear bomb dont work like that.. leaving the bones i mean.. i agree with the terminator comment (or some other violent movie)

  • lol 00:26

reminds me of command and conquer generals

    nuke tank!!

  • what is 02:13 from? I almost wanna say Terminator, but i'm probably wrong.

  • Good video, amazing song, great use of satire. Of course, I agree more with T.S. Eliot on this subject. anyway, nice video.

  • Very cool video :D ah ah I love your irony ^ ^

  • ppl who are pissed at this, try looking at this from a different perspective, i personally like this video, it's showing the irony of a beautiful song, with a terrible event. although the explosions are pretty cool, this video is meant to be taken seriously. correct me if i'm wrong

  • indeed, that is more or less the idea i had when putting this together, however, i'm not going to tell anyone how they should experience something... laugh, cry, get mad... feel something... in the end there's not much u can do [about the powers that be who thrive on destruction]. good luck humans.

  • forgive me if i'm wrong, but are you not human yourself? i wish you luck as well :) if and when this shit happens, and we're all fucked. not just humans.
