I agree, killbuffalo, you are right. I marvel at these two great teams, and both traditions, both in Scotland and Ireland. I don't want to preach... but I have been watching youtube and in Jim Baxter, Denis, and George, have the other tradition from where I came from, not produced some of the most glorious, cavalier mavericks of all? What players... look 'em up on youtube... you could identify them even from these ridiculous cameras that sit miles above the stand, so stylish were they.

And these guys did it in an era of horrible ptiches and dirty teams (i.e. Leeds Utd of the 70s) with little attention called to it by the refs I was watching the Barca Chelsea game today and to see the announcers (not the players bc they're supposed to overreact; if you don't then you're not a good player bc you're preventing your team's win) get made at "every bad call." I admit the game was poorly called but there is a reason why Dixie Dean doesn't have testicle(not bc of those tackles)

This is coming from a Rangers fan: The 1967 Celtic Lisbon Lions are the greatest team in club football history. They aren't the greatest dynasty but they ARE the greatest single season team of all time. Only ONE team has won the continental quadruple and that team is the 1967 Celtic team aka the Lisbon Lions.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Celtic won the Glagscow cup that year too. Back then the cup was a big deal. So techinically they won a continental centenary, and that surely will never be duplicated.
