i have a 74 nova that is in bad body condition. im gonna restore and want to rebuild the 350 in my 74 chevy c20 cause its a four bolt main with only 60,000 on it to a 383. i might put a 2 speed in but i'm not sure

Yeah, was a 307/th350 w/ full exhaust at that time.

Now it has a 383 stroker, edelbrock heads and a tremec tko 5 speed.

i just bought a 73 nova on june 13th at 13 years old. its in rough shape but it will be really nice in about three years. got a 350 engine and a 350 turbo trans. it will be real nice one day

What about a stroked small block? 383, 406,427? Don't forget the basics, the mpg also depends on the induction system, cam timing, ignition system, comp ratio ( higher is better for mpg's), gearing and how heavy you foot is. hehe

A good engine that will not guzzle gas is a factory spec L72 427 or ZL1 427, backed by a M22, or Super T10, and 4.11's or 4.56's . lmao.

Umm...a good engine to get thats not TO much of a gas guzzler is a 350...

Doesnt matter what size engine you get so long as it has low compression. If you want something that will hauls some ass i'd go with a 396 or a 427 with 10:1 compression
