i have a neon and talon , and that there is a 4g63, a neon has a 420a but not the same as a talon 420a, the  talon 420a has a backwords head, exhaust comes out the front,as a neon come out the back neon has a 420a single and dual 2.0,

Biggest mistake you will EVER make tryin to look cool without that top timing cover on! Put all 3 pieces back on so you dont end up skipping a tooth or even worse but not by much snapping the belt! Both mean bent valves and or bad pistons!

Bro.. the 420a is a single cam engine. The valve cover is about the size of a single valve cover on a v8 engine!

Do your research before you post a comment on engines..the 420a was available in dohc and sohc. This car has a 4g63 turbo...420a's air intake goes to the drivers side

Buddy! I know this is a 4g63, I own one! I will admit i didn't know that the 420a came in a DOHC. I was just telling someone else other then you that the 420a sohc valve cover looks about the same size as 1 bank on a v8 engine! I didnt need you jumping at me like that!

Dude I kno. There was a SOHC and DOHC 4-valve version of the 420a. The first gen eclipse base came with the 4g37. 92 hp engine.They also came with mid models with non turbo 4g63's.

lol the 420a is a 100% dodge engine! But i will admit the 420a does suck! Just look at the neon! But the 4g63 is just as unreliable! I own one and its fun when it runs but that is few and far in between!

Man its amazing it will stay running after the purge... you must have a crap load of stuff disconnected and idle turned way up to be able to vent to the atmosphere without the GM-MAF/MAF Translator combo. Amazing your MAF hasnt fried. MAF = Mass air flow sensor
