hahahahahhaa! i don't care how bad a fall this was... I saw this whole episode this morning, and she's a spoilt bratty bitch anyway, and if she knew how to ride properly she might stayed on or at least for a bit longer.
At 0.07 she isn't balanced or secure on that horse at all, she isn't moving in time with the horse, she's being bounced around by it! Compared to the rider cantering just after that,her lower leg isn't secure AT ALL, she's just pinching with her knees to stay on top of that horse, instead of letting the weight fall into her heel and into her seatbones! No, not many riders could sit that bolt, but at least if she knew how to ride, she might have had a better chance!
She wasn't even prepared in the slightest. I know horses bolt suddenly and unpredictably, but she should have still have been thinking that in the back of her mind that it was a possibility. To me, her reins look too loose and her legs don't even look like they were in the right position, too far back!
If I had the money to own my own horse I'd take the time to see if I were riding properly so it's comfortable for both me and my horse. She should just be lucky she even has a horse! Brat!

@MyLove4Horses Yes, up to a point. But if you're coming off and you hang on to the reins, you have a higher chance of swinging to the front of the horse and falling under its hooves, which is what the girl in this video did. And that's really, really dangerous.
One time i fell off a friends horse and i went straight over his head. the only way i managed to stop from getting trampled on is running backwards using the reins for support (the horse was not pulled in mouth or anything due to wearing a hackamore) if i had let go i would have had trampled ribs most likely... also when your going at a speed it's difficult to think 'right step 1. let go of reins. step2. dodge out of the way. js...

Far from getting a new horse, she should be thanking him for saving her -- she hung on too long when she could have let go and slipped off the side, out of the way of his hooves. her stirrups are too short, probably to try and hide the fact that she's too tall for the pony, and her saddle looks too big in the seat for her. she looks fake and forced in her position, i.e her hands are too high her reins are too long. she's too focused on looking pretty. all this is wouldn't have helped when the pony spooked and bolted and most likley attributed to falling off. if she was sat deep in the saddle with a good contact she might have stayed planted!
@xbabsm i disagree, she doesnt look too big for the "pony" that looks like a descent sized horse for me. i agree about the saddle, but her hands are not too high. that is the proper way to hold them for upper level dressage, and she is riding in a dressage saddle.
@JWTphoto that's not a dressage saddle, it's a showing/working hunter saddle. her hands are too high - yes, top level riders to "push" their hands forward, but with a short yet supple rein. she shouldn't be trying to look like a top level rider; all she has to do its walk, trot and canter. she is not charlotte dujardin on valegro! i'm not a total dressage expert, but i've ridden up to medium level so in this instance i think it's fair comment to say i know what i'm talking about.

Also if she had kept a better leg position at the initial spook she would have had a better chance of staying with her horse and controlling it during the bolt. She had bad luck though as the horse took off towards another horse and rider. I can't say whether she's a "good' rider or not and there were a lot of factors that day but she probably wouldn't have placed very well in that class.

What a stuck up cow. You ride a horse because you have a bond. You dont turn up to Olympia to ride a gorgeous horse like a piece of dirt! Love, you are a horse rider, you dont wear make-up. I would rather have poo on my face than wear make-up whilst riding. This is why I chew my nails and work at the stables, there is no shame in getting dirty or breaking a nail then!

I can't say whether she's a "good' rider or not and there were a lot of factors that day but she probably wouldn't have placed very well in that class.

@LittleBobbyBrownEyes ahh by the way I'm not saying that because I dislike her because of her wealth or attitude. I don't really care. At any rate she's quite a bit better than some other people I've met; at least she touches her horse when she's not riding it. Unfortunately if you're going to show at upper levels you've got to accept that pretty much EVERYONE there has at least some wealth. Including you. I joke that the "poor" person at a show is the "rich" person everywhere else!

@showjumpinggirl100 not in a showing class. u shouldnt actually need one at all the saddle should fit perfect without one people started using them so that they didnt have to clean there tack after every use :)

What a stuck up cow. You ride a horse because you have a bond. You dont turn up to Olympia to ride a gorgeous horse like a piece of dirt! Love, you are a horse rider, you dont wear make-up. I would rather have poo on my face than wear make-up whilst riding. This is why I chew my nails and work at the stables, there is no shame in getting dirty or breaking a nail then!

Wow, this is way too judgmental and unfair- obviously she can ride otherwise she wouldn'thave qualified for hoys, and just because she wanted to use the money for her party doesn't mean she has bad horsemanship- if i won money from that I'd spend it on myself! Doesn't mean I'm bad with horses. Her horse just freaked out, as we all know they do and just because the footage showed her 'not caring' doesn't mean she actually didn't care. Get some perspective, and don't be so quick to judge a rider.

that's not a beauty contest, it's a dressage contest where is supposed to ride,so learn how to ride before! She had been training for that since she was 3, sorry I'm not buying it. I think she got that pony because SHE A SPOILED BRAT, not because she loves riding.... I real rider wouldn't leave the horse after..
