  • A good trailer. I don't like fan-made trailers but this one should have been the official one.

  • epic!!

  • FUCKING A you should have job at making movie trailers cause that one was on the money, good job NickIsNervous keep em coming :)

  • wow I didn't want to see the movie, but now I do. They should've hired you to make the trailer.

  • If someone told me this was the real thing, I'd have easily believed them. Can I ask what music you used? Also, if I can ask, what video effect did you use @ 1:44? I'm not trying to steal your thunder or anything, it's just I've been trying to find that effect in my own editing software as well as my high school's 4 ages. I have the Adobe Master Collection CS3 @ home and Adobe Premiere Elements 3 and Premiere Pro 3 @ school. These are probably really stupid questions, but thanks in advance.

  • Music (in order of use):

    Dragon Drums - Immediate Music

Hanging - Chris (can't remember last name)

    Timeline - X-Ray Dog

The Island Awaits You - Steve Jablonsky

Rise of the Avenger - Brand X

The effect at 1:44? If you mean the one on the last shot of Raph, I just put a negative effect on the last 2 frames of that shot, but you're probably talking about the "lightning" effect. I also used Premiere Pro CS3 on this project, so you're in good shape. (next post)

  • I'll try to remember how to do it...

To make that flash effect, you're going to keyframe a couple video filters as opposed to using a transition. Apply these effects to your video clip: Fast Blur and Levels (which is under your Adjust folder). Keyframe Fast Blur to start at about 20 blurriness on the first frame and about 20 frames later have it keyed at 0. For Levels, all keyframing will be done for the (RGB) parts, not (R), (G), or (B). Gamma should start high at about 255. (next post)

  • 20 frames out, have Gamma return to normal level at 100. White Input Level starts at 0 and, again at 20 frames out, ends at 255.

This isn't the exact same thing I did, but it's very close. Of course, the numbers I gave you can be toyed around and messed with however you like. Just experiment.

  • And you're in no way "stealing my thunder" and none of those were stupid questions. That's how editors get better; figure out how to do cool stuff.

Oh, and that one song was Hanging by Craig Armstrong. There were lots of SFX used too. If you want me to, I can upload the SFX to Megaupload or something so you can download them, but it all depends on what you're trying to put together. Good luck with your editing endeavors!

    *Whew!*

  • Holy....Thanks! I'm making trailers for my high school's senior football team, so I'm trying to get all the ideas I can. I'm going to be uploading another one I just finished shortly. I film for a local TV company so while I take hours upon hours of film, I can't actually post any of it because it's copyrighted.

Thanks SO much for the help! Megaupload? can't say I've heard of it before. *Quickly Googles* Yeah, that would be great! Thank you!

Oh, btw, you have SO got a future in this! Thanks!

  • WICKED trailer!!!!!

  • Love the fake out at the end making General Aguila look like Shredder!

  • Ha, I kinda liked it too actually. Thanks.

  • Not bad. Not bad at all. Of course, it does make the movie look better than it really is, which isn't necessarily the best thing for a trailer to do. But if the movie had focused properly on the things you highlight in this trailer, it would have been awesome. I applaud you. Great editing. Feel free to check out my home-made theme song. • Well, as it says in the description, this was just a made-for-fun trailer and since I didn't really have to abide by any rules, I took out the stone warrior plot line and focused on the Turtles themselves. If I were hired to edit a trailer for this movie, of course I would have advertised it more faithfully and not made it as dramatic as I did here. Thanks for the criticism/comments.

  • Oh, don't read it as criticism. It was praise. I completely get the point of it, and I think you pulled it off nicely.

  • No it's cool, I actually welcome criticism as long as it's not "this sucks" or "I could do better." I always want to hear where I can improve in the future.

Your video rocked by the way.

  • It's good that you welcome criticism, but I didn't criticize. I didn't mean that the stone warriors thing should have been in your trailer. All I meant was that your trailer is a beautiful misrepresentation of the movie, and that's a good thing, as the intention is so obviously to highlight what was good about the movie, and not what it was actually about. The stone warriors and the 13 monsters shouldn't even have been in the movie, in my opinion, so in my eyes you have done great.

    And thanks!

  • Trailer looked much better than the real ones, i give a thumbs up, 5/5, 10 out of 10, a "must see", etc.

    love it!

  • Hell to the yes.

  • Nice

  • Great job :D

  • Actually no, it wasn't. Not intentionally, anyway. I did know he was doing a review on it soon. Maybe I'll make this a video response to it once somebody uploads it to YouTube... Hmm... *strokes chin*

It's just a for fun video, I don't really care what you rate it.

  • nic this video is awesome

fuck everyone else who is says it sucks

the worst the can say its average

    ITS FUCKIN AWESOME

  • Was this put out to coincide with NC video? If not, now I know why you do the trailer dump.

Anyway, good video I guess. I'm not too good at judging trailers. Plus I already saw the movie so yeah. *voted down*
