They're not original in any way, shape, or form. Why do people even like them?

@FlamestormTheWolf Fan-fiction is nowhere near how unoriginal re-colors are. Usually, fan-fiction involves a somewhat original plot with unoriginal characters. It requires some imagination. Re-coloring something means taking an original (most likely copyrighted) image, and slapping on some different colors and then claiming it as your own. The only imagination it takes is the color scheme, and even a different color scheme cannot make the character original when she or he is displaying the exact

It's just a hobby some people have and what they choose to do with it is their own thing that doesn't hurt anybody. If you're going to attack color-over people with that logic, you could do the same for AMV makers telling them to go make their own short films instead of stealing other people's footage, which is also copyrighted.

I'm making a color over transformation now. Thanks for the how-to! I WOULD use Gimp to color them but I Haven't been able to use for a while now. maybe I need to update it. But for now I'm using paint.NET. I'm making Mew Mew Watermelon.

Seriously, I hate Live Movie Maker and I don't know why Microsoft chose to take away so many features in their supposedly new version.

Google "Windows Movie Maker 2.6" (which is the version in this video) or "Windows Movie Maker 6.0" (the version after this one which I currently use). Both are free to download.

if you have sony vegas, render the video as a photo sequence and then colour them :) a whole lot easier.

You can always download mew mew transformations or episodes from tmm in a nutshell.  They're straight from the DVDs.
